Great Car, terrible braking system

The 2020 Evoque is a great riding car, until you have to stop. The brakes are very touchy and then the automatic transmission downshifts and all I think about is whiplash. The service center said this is normal, I said this is the last Evoque for me

Beautiful Car with Poor Reliability

I was taken in by the beauty of this car and the advertisements showing the Land Rovers traversing the mountainsides and barreling through streams. Just 30K miles in and the car needed total front electrical harness replacement. From the start, gremlins were present in the heating & a/c, temperature controls...the windshield seal failed and balance issues & tire pressure issues prevail after four months in the shop. I wish I knew how unreliable Evoques are before purchasing one. If you want to know the real scoop, just ask a maintenance department supervisor for a Land Rover Dealership. I will from here on be a Land Rover admirer, but never again a buyer!!

Worst car I ever rented

GregT., 11/11/2021
2020 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque SE 4dr SUV AWD (2.0L 4cyl Turbo 9A)

We rent this car in Florida while on 10 days vacation. We own 2019 X3, so out of “upscale” SUVs there were this LR which I never drove, so we decided to give a try. Pros: quick respond from 2.0L turbo engine, almost no turbo lag. Easy to park, good for large city driving. Cons: Suspension rattle very bad, worth in rear like something failing off. When braking from above 30-35 ml/h, transmission keep trying to stay on gear and at the stop it makes laud bang (scary). Trunk space “none existing” (two 22” CareOne’s and backpack. Very tiny rear window. Never thought that car with less than 20K mls can be in this kind of shape. Prior I rented “none upscale” SUVs like Tahoe, Murano, Edge. Even Dodge Journey was better vehicle than this Land Rover.

This is hands down the absolute best vehicle for urban dwellers! Compact yet spacious, smooth yet aggressive. This compact SUV is extremely light on it's feet...You'd never know that it actually weighed in at over 4k lbs

Leaky Roof

After experiencing the Evoque model for 8 years now, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. The 1st Evoque I had was a 2016 lease, and it had a leaky roof on the d4iver side. The 2nd Evoque (a purchased car) is a 2020 SUV with a leaky roof on the passenger side. Meanwhile, the car barely has 21,000 miles on it. So, depressing!
