I started with a 1995 4cyl Rodeo and I enjoyed it. Two years later, I traded for a 1997 V6. I liked it, but longed to have the newer body style, so I traded again for a 1998 V6 4x4 with 88,000 miles, fully loaded. The car now, has 105,000 miles on it and the only thing I have changed was the a/c unit. Of course, the vehicle is maintenaned by the book, and that keeps this puppy really humming. No problems what so ever. Paint, engine, trans, interior, and electrical are original and in working order. Guess what is going to be my next car............

We bought the truck one year used and have been surprisingly happy with the Rodeo. This suv has exceeded all of our purposes and expectations, however with two young ones, the back seat is a bit cramped with the car seats. We have had two oxygen sensors replaced as well as the routine maintenance performed. All other mechanicals have been maintenance free. The wife will have a hard time parting with this one.

I bought the vehicle with 10,000 miles and now have over 55,000 miles. I added a towing package and find very little problems. I like the interior and exterior design. The replacement items have been the ABS modulator and keyless remote over four years.

Have had 2wd v-6 manual version for over five years and 100K miles with no problems. Fun to drive and practical for family and camping. Suspension does just fine for winding dirt roads, even with 2wd.

Too many minor problems including, paint pealing from all four wheels within first 30000 miles. Dealer repeatedly unable to fix rattle that occurs at 2500 rpm. Throttle body problems. Seats uncomfortable on long rides. ABS modulator had to be replaced, of course just after warranty expired costing me over $500. I hear the ABS modulator is a very common problem with the Rodeo, surprised it was never recalled. Poor wet weather traction.
