We love our Rodeo

We have not had any problems with the vehicle at 83000 miles. The car is peppy and fun to drive. The interior is comfortable and looks good. I especially like the dash layout and how easy everything is to use. This is my favorite SUV on the road over anything else.

One week after I bought this car, in a bad snowstorm, I had all the electrical circuitry turned on. The front and rear wipers, the defroster, the lights and the radio. Ten minutes into my trip, everything in my car started to go dim, and then the car died. I called the dealer and was told not to use the defroster; there will be a recall. Great, brand new car and I can’t use the defroster. I should have known then that this would be an omen. This car has been the worst ownership experience of a vehicle I have ever had in my 28 years of driving. Never have I prayed to get to my destination as many times in a car as I have with this one

The best vehicle I owned.

This is the 6th vehicle I have owned. All were bought new from a dealer. The Rodeo is the first one that never had any problems. The only money spent was oil changes every 3,000 miles and tire rotations every 6,000 miles, dealer servicing at 15 & 30,000 miles. It is a great car. The only complaint I have is the seats are uncomfortable for long distance driving.

I have driven a '98 S V6 model for over a year now. 200+ ponies is useful when you have to commute L.A.'s toughest freeways, and the rear cargo area is large enough to hold all my musical equipment. The only problems I had so far is: 1) fuel gauge is inconsistent, and 2) ABS and Check Engine lights go on and off intermittently. That's it. This is the only SUV that works hard and gets 19+ mpg...
