great suv
This is a pretty good vehicle,we been avg.20 to 22 mph in city, it will proberly be more when the engine is broken in. Haven't had it on the rode yet but I assume it will be better than the city. The santa fe is a great addition to our family. Hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
Wow what a vehicle
This is my first vehicle that I have bought. The sales people at the dealership helped out alot. I love how the AC gets cold right away and how it is nice and quiet in the vehicle. I only wish I bought it sooner. Overall the thing that caught my attention the most was the warrenty on it.

Fun to Drive
I love thge warranty but after the purchase I don't have to think about it because everything works great. This vehicle is very fun to drive and has alot of get up and go with the 3.5 v6.The heated seats are a plus in the cold weather months and the leather cleans up easy when my kids make a mess. The only down side is not having power seats. That one option would make my Sante Fe perfect.
Santa Fe
Great Buy for the money
Santa Fe
After being in a rear end collision, Our car took the brunt of the accident. My self and my daughters didnt even have stiff or sore muscles the next morning. I was sitting still at a road block, and the other car came up behind me doing at least 25-30miles per hour when she hit us. Our car had over 8 thousand dollars in damages, but its passengers were safe and sound. I would buy another Santa Fe in the future without a second thought. It has been an excellent car since we got it. thank you
Santa Fe
Great vehicle; was not sure about a compact SUV after two Durango's but this has met and exceeded my expectations. The reclining back seats and cargo areas are great ideas and convenient.
Great Vehicle
Great takeoff, lots of power. Excellent sound system. The standard features would be worth the price without the warranty; the smart safety features would cost hundreds extra on any other car. The Santa Fe comes with a first aid kit, storage area under the carpet of the cargo area and a cargo net to secure just about anything in the rear cargo area. I add the cargo mat (cost extra) and can transport anything without it shifting of rolling around during sharp turns. The front passenger seats air bag only turns on when someone sits in it. The comfort control system tells you the outside temp and can be set to auto, so that each time you drive it is the exact temperature you want.
Comfort & Style
I traded in my 2002 Crystal Blue for a 2005 Black Obsidian Santa Fe and once again I was not disappointed. I went from a wonderful 4 cylinder that once saved my life in a crash, to an upgraded 6 cylinder model that I couldn't be happier with. I don't need the oversized SUVs which are on the market and the Santa Fe fits our active lifestyle just perfectly. Our family of 4 can pack everything we need in this beauty for a week away camping or at the beach and still travel comfortably with room to spare.
love it
handles great good on gas easy to park more storage than jeep very depenable no recalls as yet
Happy
Great car for the price. More bang for my bucks than the competition. It's been absolutely reliable. Not a thing to replace. OEM tires were decent. A bit much with interior noise.
Best SUV
I have owned Jeep,Honda,GMC,Ford and Toyota SUVs. This is the best of them all. Ride is great, everything is well placed on the interior. I get great gas milage on the highway, 26mpg, driving in mountainous areas. Love the Automatic/manual transmission, great feature similar to what I had on my Audi. Excellant warranty, which I've not had to use because it is such a reliable car.
Isabella- thats her name
I love my car, the only thing I do not like is the pick up at a full stop. It is very slow at first but then is fine once you are going. Pulling out is traffic is not my favorite thing to do with this SUV. I have had a problem with getting shocked every time I get out. Passengers have too. The dealership has twice now said there is nothing wrong. Anyone else having this problem? Winter was very bad, summer not as bad but still happening.
Luxury SUV, economy price
All the bells and whistles of higher priced suv's. Roomy, great warranty, dependable.
Santa Fe Experience
I purchased this vehicle because I loved the way it looked and drove and especially the comfort I felt sitting behind the wheel. I had no reluctance because I had purchased other new styles of vehicles that were new to the auto market in the 70's and although I had bad luck with them I felt like I was doing the right thing in purchasing this Santa Fe as my first New Vehicle since 1976. I had in the past 23 years since I traded my last vehicle I bought brand new in 1976 purchased used vehicles because I figured they had all the bad things happened to them already if they had new car flaws. After driving the Santa Fe for 10 weeks, I think I made a Good choice.
Love it!
This is my first SUV, every winter I wish I had a 4-wheel drive so I researched online and decided on the Santa Fe. Very glad I did, I love it! I've gotten a lot of compliments. I already owned an Elantra so I got the owner loyalty rebate along with the special incentive rebate that was going on at the time.
Hyundai Santa Fe
I like the Santa Fe 2.7L V6 very much. It is relatively quiet and handles well on curves, and the mileage I get is 20-22 around town and 26-28 on the highway. No long trips as yet. The steering is a little too responsive if you take your eyes off the road to adjust the AC or heating, or radio.
Love my Santa Fe
I got my Santa Fe just two days before having to make a road trip of over 300 miles and WOW what can I say, I was very comfortable the whole way. It got really decent gas mileage (about 26 mpg) and look out for the pick up when you hit the gas. I've rented SUV's before and some are really big and bulky with less interior room than what I have in the Santa Fe. Two thumbs up to Hyundai
My honest opinion
Good sturdy vechicle. It is slow to accelerate but when it catches up it will blow you away.
My Santa Fe
Great car, I have had it 2 months and love it.
Great Choice
I traded my Mercedes ML in for the Santa Fe with no regrets. I can't go wrong with the 10 year 100,000 mile warranty. I wish that I didn't get the 2.7L. But is still worth every penny. Everyone loves it!
A nice little car that's a gas hog
Really love this SUV. A little spongy on the ride, but I enjoy that type of feeling. Gas mileage really stinks, especially with today's prices going up to $3.00. Also disappointed that I have a smell in my A/C after two months of use, and side bumper scrapes too easily -- I already have several scraped areas where doors have hit the side of my car. Instead of creating a ding, the hits scratch the plastic bumper creating more of a deep scratch in the plastic.
Hyandi
The leather heated seats were uncomfortable with a bar in the lower part of the seat to the back. Also the heated seats only heated the seat not the back.
best buy
when gas got so hugh i started looking trade a 2003 ford explore sport trac.hyundai was my first and only place i went i test drove it and feel in love with it.i,ve had only one problem and it was my doing loose gas cap.i love it. i,ve seen the new santa fa and can,t wait till jan so i can buy the new one its great.
Too much gas
This is a great vehicle. Too much gas consumption, but I would recommend it to all that don't drive long distances. I am very pleased.
2005 Santa Fe
I love my 2005 Santa Fe-I never knew I would save money on car insurance! I was expecting to pay more, but didn't. I love the car-like ride and as many have said, those little extras. I am disappointed in the fuel economy however, it's only a V6-not a V8. My parents have a Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo and it gets roughly the same milage and it's a V8! Aside from all that, it's a wonderful mid-sized SUV with plenty of space and standard features that make the big three worry: GM, Chrylser, Ford I like it!
What a surprise!
I live in NY. Fearing my husband's safety after 9-11, we bought this vehicle (a 2002)so he could commute the 120 miles each day to NYC. Driving the Brooklyn Queens Expressway and the Long Island Expressway everyday is test enough for any cars reliablity. With 100,007 miles (and going) we have never had one problem with this vehicle, not even a flat tire. We just change the oil every 3000 miles. It has all the extra features to keep you comfortable on a long commute. It is a great weekend get away car. You can fit most anything in the back. Its easy to park tight spaces and works well on our shopping trips in lower Manhattan. I recommend this car to everyone. I am planning to buy a new one.
My Sante Fe
A fine automobile, stylish looks, inside and out. Proud to be seen driving it and love to sit behind the wheel. Excellent sales and service at the dealership. Comfortable passenger and and seating areas on longer trips. Handles well in all types of driving conditions. Make running boards a standard feature instead of an option. Comfortable interior for longer trips as driver and/or passenger. Average MPG.
Good Workhorse
Comfortable ride, high reliability, spaceous interior, noisy engine above 3000 rpm, no troubles at all so far.front wheel drive requires attention at the steering in narrow curves and U-turns
Best SUV for the money
LOVE THIS VEHICLE!!! What a value, smooth handling like a car with plenty of room. 2nd Hyundai in a row, had a Sonata. May never go back to another brand, definitely not an American mad car.
Sante Fe
I like driving an suv that handles like a car. It is very roomy and easy to manuever. I wish the mileage was better. but overall, I am very pleased with my Sante Fe and would definitely purchase another when the time comes
good little SUV...poor gas mileage
I love the Sante Fe except for awful gas mileage and a squeek in the door panel that I can not get ride of. Otherwise a nice SUV..If I had known that the RAV4 was going to be extended, I would have bought that instead.
Great Transportation
Originally test drove a Sonata, loved it and my wife saw the Santa Fe. Test drove it and liked everything about it. We just got rid of a 1996 astro van and wanted mor of an automobile ride. fantastic stereo-plenty loud and excellent quality.
Santa Fe
Love this SUV. Had Buicks and Ford before but this vehicles out preforms but. Very nice vehicle and very good price.
Great Ride
I didn't want the Santa-Fe at first, I was looking for a reasonable suv and I wasn't sold on the Santa-Fe. Then, I drove one and I was sold! I suggest the 6 cylinder model and a sunroof. I love the ride, the cd changer and Monsoon sound system. The Sanfa-Fe has everything except the price. People that have ridden to work with me are now interested. One, who owns a Lexus SUV likes my Santa-Fe LX as much as his Lexus. As a matter of fact, When my friend's lease is up, he is trading for an LX too. He said he was tired of paying so much for the Lexus in lease and gas when the Hyundai LX I have does better for less! I agree ... for me ... this one is a "Keeper!"
3.5 litre 4WD GLS
The Santa Fe has been a great vehicle with no problems. I have owned alot of different vehicles and the fit and finish of the Santa Fe is excellent. Fuel mileage overall has been 21-22 mpg. not bad not great. The price is excellent compared to other simular vehicles.
Great Vehicle
When my husband and I first purchased our hyundai we were a little apprehensive because it's a newer SUV on the market and the price was so great but I must say that I am extremly pleased with our purchase. I would recommend this SUV to anyone.
Santa Fe
I was disapointed by the power of the vehicle but overall its been a good suv 1st time owner of a Suv. Company has burned me as far as settlement for wrong sticker information left a sour taste in my mouth not happy.
Excellent car
This car has proven to be extremely fun to drive with an acceptable fuel consumption for a small SUV. Its standard model comes well equipped with a good AC, cd player, shiftronic and power mirrors/doors/windows.
Best Value SUV
Since I bougth this Santa Fe, always I'm finding new features and excellent things of my car. The last one was a lot of covered space under the back carpet. I drove from Fort Lauderdale, FL (33312) to Chandler, AZ (85248) with a trailer on the hitch and the ride was smooth, I didn't feel back pain. The only bad thing is stopping every 230 miles to refuel.
Loved my Santa Fe
My Santa Fe was the best driving vehicle I've owned. It got fair gas mileage for an SUV (19-23 MPG). The car was totaled in an accident (neither our or the cars fault) but my husband and I both walked away without a scratch. My husband is 6' tall and didn't like to drive it because even with the seat all the way back, his knees were still in the dash. It would've been better with an MP3 player.
great suv
Great vehicle to drive. Surpasses my 2002 Honda CRV EX that I had. Car is well put together. Engine is so smooth.
the best
Easily the worlds best SUV. Destroys everything from a Toyota to a Hummer. The Santa Fe may be the greatest vehicle the world has ever seen.
Hyundai Santa Fe
Great car for someone who needs a smaller SUV. Not too expensive and reliable. Has some nice styling in the interior.
My Santa Fe
Really enjoy - fun to drive. Enought pep for the mountains but no V-8.
great truck
i recently got rid of a 2003 ford focus zx3 for this truck. i loved my car but i love this truck even better. the warranty is great and i love the truck. the look, the feel and the way it drives.
Cool SUV
Have had our Santa Fe for three months. Have taken two trips from Ohio to New Jersey and back. Ride is every bit as comfortable as our Grand Marquis. Cruised Interstate 80 across Pa. at 75 mph and it handled quite well. Mileage was about 26 mpg as advertised.
Wonderful Vehicle!!!
I have always been a Hyundai customer. I bought my first one when I turned 18 and have been a customer ever since. I am more than impressed with the styling and performance of the Santa Fe. I have told everyone I know what a great value this car is. I love it!!!
The good and the not-so-good
I enjoy my Santa Fe very much. The 3.5 engine has plenty of zip and the car handles very well. Biggest drawback is getting into car. The natural tendancy is to lean forward to clear the door with your head but the overly raked windshield makes this manuever ill-advised. The rear seats not only fold down (although not 100% flat), they also recline which make them much more comortable than the Subaru Forester which I considered. Standard safety features are outstanding such as side air bags & reinforced doors,ABS 4 wheel disc brakes, heated power mirrors. My Santa Fe came standard with AC, powerful CD/Cassette, AM/FM, Cruise, power everything except seats, remote entry w/alarm & much more
you can't get more for your money
This is the second Hyundai I have purchased. The quality and reliability of this vehicle makes you wonder what the other car companies are doing with all the extra money they charge you fora similiarly equipped vehicle. The week after I bought this car my parents were so impressed they had me buy them a Sonata over the internet, "sight unseen." They can't believe the car they got for the money.
Excellent Value, Car like Ride..........
I am so happy with my new Santa Fe I had to come on-line and write a review. It has everything I wanted and more, excellent value and warranty and the sales experience were quick and painless. My salesperson Bobby explained everything and showed me all the features and benifits of buying a quality Suv. Most important Hyundai has done so much to improve the quality of their cars and with their warranty I have no worries.
