Love this car, but...
Car: 3.8 Track, Bathurst Black, 6 Auto. First of all, this is simply THE MOST beautiful car on the road! Bar none! Everywhere I drive it heads turn! Almost causes wrecks. Far and away THE MOST CAR FOR THE MONEY I've ever owned. PERIOD! Handling: GLUE. Ride Quality: Rough, but you'll come to love it. Performance: Very Good. Needs a V8 and/or better transmission programming. Build Quality: Hyundai. The NEW standard. The ONLY quibble I have with this car AT ALL, is that the Auto Trans needs to be either reprogrammed more aggressively, or such a mode needs to be added. No one I know buying this car is primarily interested in gas mileage.
Don't buy a Hyundai Genesis
We bought a new Genesis coupe in 2011. This is the worst mistake of our lives. It is by far the cheapest vehicle we have ever owned. The ride is so stiff and uncomfortable. We don't dare take it on long trips. The road noise is so bad you can't even hear the stereo or hear yourself think. The interior is so cheap just touching the interior causes marks that will not come off. The navigation system has taken us to places we never programed it for. After owning it for just a few months we had to take it back to the dealer to have the seats replaced because the stain on the leather was wearing off and white spots are coming thru. The transmission is very difficult to shift. Don't buy!

I LOVE my new Genesis Coupe!
This car is beautiful. One guy even asked me if it was a Jag. I just laughed, because not only is my car as pretty as a Jag, it cost a whole lot less! I traded my Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder GT convertible, and while the Genesis isn't quite as comfortable or feels as substantial, it was an excellent choice. The 4-cylinder is surprisingly responsive and really quick if I floor it. That being said, it's still a 4-cylinder and doesn't have that nice little rumble that a larger engine does. However, I am overwhelmingly happy with this car. Did I mention it is BEAUTIFUL?? ;-D
surprising coupe
The eye-catching rear-wheel drive Genesis Coupe surprised from the moment i started it. Nice sport sound and then very responsive motor and torque. Great visibility excellent grip and just-firm-enough suspension make it a delight to drive. The 2.0T won't throw you back in your seat but performance is enough to have legal fun and yet be a practical day-to-day car. I test drove the 3.8 V6 and found it to be a bit wild and hard on the road. But if you want more power it is great.
Nice car
A really nice car - fun to drive, easy to drive, looks and sounds great, and all at bargain basement price. What a deal.
