it is a fun little car for the price has a few glitches especially the rev hang. sound good with a exhaust I have a tsudo on mine sounds deep and great. gas mileage around town 26.2 hwy 33.1 but can go lower if driving aggressive. love the looks. the transmission on the manual could have a little better feel but a aftermarket bushing replacement helps take it out. a computer flash helps with the rev hang but does not eliminate it. the infinity sound system sounds great for a factory radio and sub. the later models got a increase in power but I don't like the front fascia and fake hood vents. people down Hyundai but to each is their own I for one enjoy the vehicle and like to have something that I don't see every day. it is a cheap entry vehicle with potential you have btr who created a 4 banger that pushes 850whp so that goes for those who want to tune. I have a Subaru for my winter driving and have muscle cars for my other vehicles and yet I still get a smile on my face driving the Hyundai especially when I hit 3000rpm and that turbo hits in hard.

I had it for exactly a month and a half. It is great! For the money, I could've gotten a used BMW, G35, 350Z, etc., but I wanted a new car. Although I have the 2.0T model which isn't the fastest, I can still have some fun. The interior is extremely driver friendly in my opinion. Since not too many people are aware of this model, I get so much attention/comments when I get on or off the car.

Prior to this car, I was driving a 2004 Hyundai Tiburon Base. Like everyone out there, I was not sure if I wanted to buy a second Hyundai, but, once I drove this car, WOW, that's all I can say. The interior and build quality has improved by atleast 10 folds, from 2004 model and the soft touch is just perfect. The 2.0T, is fast enough to compete with the likes of IS250s, 328i, GTI, and many other high end imports out there. Don't be fooled by the name, Hyundai, has truly made a sport car that everyone can own and drive without, paying premium. If you are looking for a fun car to drive, this is perfect for you!

Love The Ride - Hate the noise!

Purchased used for $29,900. With 3 years left to pay, the KBB value is only $6,300. Would trade it just because of the road noise, but I still owe twice what it's worth today. Road noise is very high coming from the rear. Almost like you're riding in the trunk. Always have to keep the stereo turned up to drown it out. I've gone through 3 front brake rotors due to excessive vibration when braking. The good news; fun to drive! Engine has been awesome. Only thing I've changed is the oil at service intervals. Very smooth. Very comfortable in the front seats. Update: As of Mid 2019, with 130k+ miles on it, the car still performs very well. Just as much fun to drive today as it was 5 years ago. It is disappointing that it's value dropped so quickly, but it truly is one of the better cars I've owned. I plan on keeping it around for another 5 years if it doesn't give me any major problems. August 2021 - i’m at 145k and still love the look and feel of the Genesis coupe! No ossuws with the car to date.

This auto performs and handles excellant. The problem is the ride ( of course it is a sports car) and the road noise. I own a 1968 RS/SS Camero that rides better. I drove this vehicle 400 miles on interstate and wasn't impress with the quality of ride and road noise. I bought new drove 400 miles and 3 days. In contacting the dealer. He would take it back if I tok a $10,000.00 hit on it. Not a very good deal. Wouldn't recommend. Stick to American sports car.
