Reason for no Haundai Lease!

There is a reason why Hyundai does not lease their vehicles. Simple reason - Hyundai cars depreciate so fast that you can feel the money being sucked out of your pocket. Why so much depreciation? Over the last 1 1/2 years and 120000 miles of owning this car, I have brought it into the shop over 8 times for different problems. Two problems will cost me when trade-in time comes, even though the problem was fixed. The last problem will cost me over $800, because the parts are not covered under the warranty.

The Perfect Car For Me!

I was very surprised when I test drove my Accent. For being an inexpensive car, it had features that the more expensive cars have. I feel I got ripped off by the dealer, but that isn't a Hyundai problem, it's a dealer problem. I bought my car Sept 2001, so I have been driving it for 2 years now. I had to get a couple of minor repairs done and a new battery, but besides that, I have no problems with it and I'm very happy. I plan to buy another Hyundai for my next car.

Don't go 100k or get in a crash

We bought this as a inexpensive first new car. Overall, I had thought it was ok...until we owned it a while. MPG was about 27/29. Prior to this year we had to repair the door handle, the key broke off in the trunk, brakes twice and engine stabilizers once (regular maint). Then, as soon as we got to 108k, the tranny started to act up. $350 later we found out an overdrive part had broken off inside and demolished it. Cost to repair $2500. Guy said he had to do the same thing to his daughters 01 last year. So, if you think this car will go 100k+ or more than 5-7 years without major problems, think again. I know I will before considering Hyundai.

Looking for a good used car to commute with that was $6,000 or under with low mileage. Found this 5-speed with A/C, spoiler, as a trade-in (not even on the lot) with only 25,500 miles on it. Paid cash. I was a little apprehensive but the people I knew who owned a Hyundai said they were good cars. Well, they're right. A great little compact with plenty of pep. Fun to drive and not a bad looking car as a bonus.
