"comfy Dumfy"
We have enjoyed this Odyssey for almost 8 years now. It has taken us across the country NC to UT a number of times, super comfortable! Grands love it for room and the entertainment.... It's just time for Grandma to have a change and maybe something a bit smaller and hopefully as comfortable! If she can't match the comfort, she'll have to go with another Odyssey!

67,000 Miles and Still Going Strong
We purchased this van in October 2010 before we had our first child. We traded in a 2002 accord on it for more practicality and it has been great for the past 63/4 years! Comfortable, Reliable (Except for the water pump at 52k) , Practical, and relatively fuel efficient for it's large size. We now have 3 children and plan to keep this till winter and then try to upgrade to a 2018. I would recommend this to anybody in the market for a used minivan.

2010 vs 2011
We purchased a new 2010 before the 2011 model shipped. This week I physically inspected a new 2011. The new model is not as airy and open as the older model. The lowered roof line and higher belt line reduces the feeling of space from the 2nd and 3 rows; children will have no complaints. The roof air vents are airline sized eyelets which may not distribute air as well as the larger style found in the older model. Rear visibility is reduced. The new model has a few refinements and I expect improved drive dynamics. But, the older Ody is a winner for visibility, ext side design and still competitive with the 2011.
Really, really good, but not great.
Expecting a 3rd child, we knew exactly what we were going to get. Honda is the most reliable motor company out there and are long-trusted in my family. We were so impressed by the build quality. It's like they gathered all the moms of the world and asked them what they wanted in a van and then met ALL demands. I have only two complaints. This car is a Jekyll and Hyde van. In the dry weather, it drives great! But give it some rain and it becomes a monster. The variable cylinder control system SNAPS on and off creating a wrestling match with the stability control system and causes the van to rock side-to-side. Not a good thing on a sick, wet road. The other issue are the brakes (see below).
Great, Great Van for the family.
Only owns Hondas. I just bought my Honda odyssey ex-l. I love driving it all the time, but I notice that powering steering is always make noise when you made a 90 degree turn. does that really happen on all Hondas or just on the minivan? For most of you owns Honda odyssey, does your van has that kind of problem too? Give some advise would be great. thanks!
