Used 2019 Honda Insight Consumer Reviews
5 years and going strong
We purchased the car new in 2019 and currently have 45,000 miles and have not had one problem. The gas mileage ranges from 55 mpg in summer months to 42 in winter months. It has a comfortable ride, looks great and has been a very reliable car.

Great looking hybrid performance
Purchased the Insight in the Touring trim recently for my wife as she has a long daily commute. Couldn't be happier with our purchase. Averaging 46 mpg thru the 1st 1,000 miles and improving over time as we play with the driving modes and regenerative braking settings. The Touring trim level is worth the money in my opinion as it comes loaded. This is a great looking hybrid sedan(much better looking than a Prius). UPDATE: As of 4/8/2020 Still loving our Insight Touring model. MPG dropped to 40MPG during cold winter months due to use of heater and heated seats(Chicago has really cold winter). But MPG's are starting to climb back up as it's starting to warm up now as we enter Spring. Still highly recommend this car to anyone! Well worth it and much nicer styling over the Prius. 4/8/2023 Update: Now at 62,500 miles. Replaced tires at 55,000 miles last Summer. Still no problems. Cost to own this car has been outstanding. Couldn't be happier.

Very disappointed
Cons -No spare tire. Front passenger seat very low and not adjustable. No left side blind spot detector. (What was Honda thinking?) Pros - Handles well and gets great gas mileage. Owned Priuses from 2002-2018. Switched to the Insight because the seats in the new Prius were really uncomfortable and it was ugly. After owning the Insight for 11 months we traded it in. Very disappointing.Hated the car so much that we got rid of it after a year and bought a Toyota

Should have gotten a Toyota
Very disappointed in this car. i got the touring edition that states it gets 51mpg city and 45highway. Ive tried every trick i could to make it so, but my average on this car is always between 37-38. Also, the car can get really loud sometimes, even when driving at lower speeds. Now, at this time, the radio volume is giving me trouble, it won't get loud. just got the car november 2018. the toyota camry was a little bit more expensive but now i wish i would have spent the extra money. **over a year now and gas mileage hasn’t changed, still average 39mph, doesn’t matter what I do
