The FIT saved my life! REALLY!!

I had a 2017 FIT. I was in a VERY bad accident; a front end/broadside collision by a much larger truck. The FIT Went airborne, knocked down a couple of utility poles and eventually came to a stop. I walked away with only bumps and bruises; no serious injuries. I bought another FIT!!! I am so grateful to this car maker for saving my life. Really!! In another car, I would be dead. I bought it for its high safety rating, but never imagined I would have a serious accident.

Love my car!!

I love my fuel efficient, small zippy Honda Fit. I have the LX, not the EX with the sunroof and Honda lane assist. Regardless, the backup camera on this car is stellar, it is small so it fits into small spaces and at 45MPG, I’ve only had to fill it up once in the 3 weeks I’ve had it. It has plenty of cargo and passenger space, I love the Bluetooth car option, and overall it is the best car I’ve ever had.

you'd be surprised what you can fit in a Honda Fit

The Fit is a cool little econobox that in the 6 speed manual is peppy and fun to drive. There really is an amazing amount of space inside and lots of glass to provide a spacious view. Kudos to Honda for making such a little car seem so big. The laws of physics can't be denied though, so there are drawbacks. The car is very light, so bumpy roads seem a lot bumpier. Also, high speed driving comes with a bit too much road noise - there really isn't a lot of Fit between you and the road. The gas tank is only 10 gallons, but when you're getting 37 mpg highway as we are, that's enough to last for awhile. The middle trim EX has a fun sunroof, and a decent 6 speaker sound system. The 2018's have a more sophisticated infotainment systems than our '17 does, but even the '17 covers the bluetooth / usb basics.

Bought a '17 for my granddaughter. Mine's a '15

My granddaughter loves her 2017 LX CVT Fit. She reports it is super economical, claiming 40 mpg, and says the light controls make it very pleasant to drive. Not a coincidence, I gave my 2011 Sport 5MT to her husband when I bought a new 2015, and he loves his, too. My 2015 6MT has 17-inch Kosei Racing wheels with 215/45-17 Dunlop Direzza Z2 tires, and it stays with Porsches on twisty roads. I do wish it had more horsepower for passing other vehicles when sport driving. There's plenty of power for all other types of driving. In fact, its 0-60 of 7.9 seconds is nothing to be ashamed of.

It is a great car for a small person like me. I am very comfortable in it and enjoy driving it. It makes me feel young again. We all need a pick me up and the car gives it to me. Don't hesitate to try it out and see if you fit like I did. Have had my Fit a year. Still love my car, enjoy driving it. It has so much get up and go. Two years now. Never get tired of driving my Fit. One of the best decisions I have made. I have had my car over 2 years. Still love my car and enjoy driving it. Wouldn’t want any other car. Five years now and the car I finally mine. Will never trade it in. Love it as much now as the first day I bought it. It has been 7 years since I bought my Fit. Love this car. Will never trade it in. Honda made a big mistake by discontinuing making Fits.

Great first car!

A couple of big things I have noticed are the buggy and slow Android auto. Its a cool feature but lord it is bulky and unresponsive. There are only 2 USB ports and if you plug your phone in just to charge it it will force you to try to use Android auto. The MPG is much lower than the estimates, but so far a around 850 miles driving in the city my average is 27.3MPG. I also have been using premium gas hoping it would help get to the 30MPG promised but haven't hit it yet. The car is also a little noisy, there is a plastic rattling sound from the parts surrounding the engine. Other than those things this car has been a lot of fun to have as my first car purchase, it's got good pickup, good brakes, the safety features are really helpful and overall pretty happy with it.

Not Fit at all

Bought this car CPO from dealer in April of 2021 with 27,000 miles. I will admit I drive a lot. I put 50,000 miles on it in one year ok, being honest. I have also been so meticulous when it comes to maintenance. I only get it serviced at the dealer. Should be fine if you follow the scheduled maintenance, its a honda right? Nope, Check engine light comes on at 70,000 miles, It's a catalytic converter that needs to be replaced. Great! Also car makes a really loud rattling noise when I am stopped at a light from the engine compartment. It goes away in neutral or if the ac is running. Dealers wont acknowledge it, say its normal...great! I can vouch that the visibility is bad, even though I'm 5'10", its hard to see over the hood and the triangular windows have a thick column that create a bad blind spot. Gas mileage is overall 30 mpg. Rear shocks are worn out and the Bluetooth is buggy. Honda, are they are stuck in the 90's, sorry to say I'm never gonna buy another.

There's a harsh wind sound (Low frequency oscillation) if the windows are down on the freeway, or traveling fast.

Forgot the Navi

This a nice car, only thing is the frame around the windshield makes a huge blind spot for the driver. That is my only fault with the car. Its the navigation system. Got this car in December 2017 had wonderful graphics and the whole lot and now I get a map and lucky to get any place. I am told I never had Garmin navi but Here. Well I had a loaner car 2018 Fit Navi with a Here system and it had the same sort of system as Garmin. Took two days to get a new tire by the way. But I am really disappointed that the dealer or Honda will not help me out with my navigation. Just buy a Garmin if you want navigation.

I really do not have clear views in this car and I don't trust the rear view screen, It is always clear without a car or object onscreen. The so called cover for objects in the truck is ridiculous. Most just take it out. Driver's seat is too low at highest level. Will need to purchase something to be able to see out over the hood of the front window. Not happy with that. With large window in front should not have these problems and my windshield is not tinted. Sun is blinding.
