Third CR-V is Another Winner!

2025 Honda CR-V Sport Touring Hybrid 4dr SUV AWD (2.0L 4cyl gas/electric hybrid EVT)

This is my 7th Honda and my third CR-V. The Sport Touring is loaded with safety features and other perks such as a heated steering wheel, Bose sound system, and the list goes on and on. The reliability, performance, and style of Honda vehicles are unsurpassed. I have never had a major service issue with any of my previous cars.

The 2025 CR-V was the 5th Honda I had purchased. I’ve driven several generations of the accord, I owned a civic and my husband currently owns a pilot. To say I’m not familiar with the brand would be an understatement. The stylish exterior of the latest generation of the CR- V is what really drew me to the vehicle. After owning the car for 3 months, I traded it in because I did not care for it at all. I found the interior extremely cheap compared to previous Hondas. The plastic interior feels very cheap, if you press on the plastic, it creaks. The wireless “charging” will keep your phone from dying but it won’t charge your phone. The dual climate control doesn’t get very hot and if you have it going towards your body and feet at the same time, barely any heat comes out of the body vents. After doing research on this, it was discovered that this was a design flaw on Hondas part. The seat belt adapter is very stiff and doesn’t move around very much so if you have a wider hip, you may find this a bit uncomfortable. The seats themselves take some adjustment to get even somewhat comfortable. The ride was smooth but I did not like how the vehicle maneuvered around corners. Overall I see this as a major let down for the Honda brand as I typically hold them to a high hurt standard. I traded the CR-V in for a 10th generation accord which I owned previously.

Don't Buy A 2025 Honda CR-V Hybrid

Just bought a 2025 CR-V Hybrid Sport L at the very end of this past August (based upon a Car & Driver review). Car literally has just over 2K miles on it and now I'm seeing not 1 but 2 recall notices for the high pressure fuel pump and gearbox issues. NICE!!! The language in the high pressure fuel pump recall notice is particularly irritating "bring it in for a free inspection and, if necessary, replacement of the high-pressure fuel pump if the inspection indicates the presence of a defective part". What, like your local Honda Dealer's Service Dept. has the time, or skill, to thoroughly inspect your fuel pump (while paying customers wait). And btw, who's to say that the part won't fail after they deem it okay, say for example when your 100s of miles away from home. This is a very serious issue that could result in the car catching fire. Also, if the gearbox issue isn't addressed properly based upon the recall the steering could become unmanageable - imagine what that might lead to driving down the interstate at 70+. I'm going to see what I can do about this legally. I have opened a case w/Honda Customer Care to see if they'll buy this POS back. If you're in my situation I'd recommend you do the same! P.S. If you do take your car into to have them "inspect" the fuel pump I'd be inclined to demand that they replace it with a part they know does not have the defect. That said, if you're willing to just live with the inspection and they tell you that your part is okay make sure you get their assessment in writing. These dealerships change service managers and techs like most people change socks.

This is my fourth CR-V and it is the best car ever. I told my husband if you put me in a car that cost three times as much, there is no way I would like it better. This car is beautiful inside and out, and it's fun.
