I looked at most of the offerings in this SUC size and found Honda and VW to be top choice. Chose CRV due to top line dependability and availability!

So happy I got this car 2025 CRV (EXL). I had the 2020 CRV LX, a good car but just the basic model. The EXL looks and rides quiet and smooth. I’m sure Kia and Hyundai are good cars ( especially when they’re new), but I wanted a vehicle that is proven to last longer with a good ride.

Bought & own a 2025 AWD CRV Sport Touring Hybrid, the highest trim model. The negotiations to buy the vehicle were a nightmare. Avoid Honda North in MA! Driven for over a 2 months, mainly for commuting & personal, mostly local travel with some highway. So far, the fuel efficiency has slowly increased as I changed my driving style. Used to drive a sedan now a hybrid SUV, which the CRV has become from a smaller CUV. The 2023-2025 model has grown Bigger so that a tall 6 foot person can fit and have relatively decent headroom and legroom. The front seats really need to add a feature to LOWER the seat height as it sits high! The seats are relatively comfortable, though I use an inflatable back cushion for more lower back support. More driver's front leg room is needed. It handles & rides relatively well and smoothly. The low profit 19" low profile tires contribute to some road noise and bumpiness as the tires have less cushion than the 18" tires. The CRV is NOT meant for much highway driving, as hybrids are really meant for Local/City driving. Currently, with ~3,700 miles, my average mileages shows: Local/City ~44~46 mpg Highway ~38~40 mpg Mixed: ~40~42 mpg The current driving range is ~550 miles, with the 14 gallon gas tank. Drive the following for best fuel efficiency: 1. <45 mpg locally/city 2. <70 mpg highway Got much Higher mileage than what Honda states, which also meets or beats Toyota's Rav4 mileage. Honda is known to be Misers for Decades to NOT include standard equipment or remove them from previous year's models. What's missing are the following: NO Spare Tire in the Hybrids!! Fog lights TPMS (Actual sensors, not the Fake TPMS measurement that Honda uses as it's Literally Useless!) Ventilated front seats Heated rear sets Panoramic sunroof Rear cargo cover Those missing features are available in competitors' vehicles, like from Toyota, Hyundai, Kia, etc... The hybrid battery is the size of a large suitcase and sits in the rear cargo space of the MISSING spare tire! It's a damn terrible decision and design by Honda management and engineers who redesigned and approved the update starting in 2023! The engine is Underpowered at 204 HP as it Needs more Power, esp. to go up hills and for highway traveling! Other automakers, like Toyota, makes More Powerful hybrid engines!! The Sport L has a leather steering wheel but it's NOT heated! It costs ~$1K as a dealer added installation! Just spend the add. $1K to get the Sport Touring, which offers slightly more features, like a Quiet cabin due to laminated front windows/windshield, upgraded stereo system and a heated leather steering wheel! It's Overpriced for what it is and what it does Not include so the 'value' is low! Honda, & Toyota, are living off their Old reputation of Reliability! Honda is having lots of issues with the engine components and related recalls, like fuel injector issues and quality control issues with much of its CRVs, esp. the 1.5L Turbo gas engines. The Hybrid CRV is OK but it's still relatively spartan & Expensive. This is 2025 NOT 2005! Honda needs to include More Powerful engines, focus on its Quality Control issues and include the missing equipment/features compared to other automakers, like Toyota!

This is my 7th Honda and my third CR-V. The Sport Touring is loaded with safety features and other perks such as a heated steering wheel, Bose sound system, and the list goes on and on. The reliability, performance, and style of Honda vehicles are unsurpassed. I have never had a major service issue with any of my previous cars.

We have an old Honda so we're encouraged to buy another. First week issues make me think longer test ride next time or rent one for a week. Tire Pressure System - really just an idiot light Infotainment system and Android works poorly. Passenger power seat is terrible. No spare tire - was not a concern until second day car show like pressure low for no reason. No garage door opener? Hyundai we traded had better features
