Overall very good!
Pros: - Quiet & comfortable cabin - Easy to get in and out of - Comfortable front seats and big back seats - Alot of safety content for the price - Good MPG - avg. 35 - Good initial acceleration due to electric motor - Apple Car Play integration is very good Cons: - Not many. - Engine drone - gets loud when you "floor it" for fast acceleration, but then quiets down at speed. - While strong acceleration from a start, looses a little steam above 40 MPG but sufficient. - Good acceleration in Sport mode, but since that engages the engine at all speeds, gas mileage suffers and will be louder. - Small 7" "high end" audio system display. Alot of complaining about this, BUT, once you set it, no need to delve into the sub-menus. Volume knob is nice, would be nice to have a tuning knob, like in the Accord Touring. In fact, that head unit should be used in the CR-V going forward. - No compact spare, only a can of good and an air pump. - Would be nice if you could get European features on the US CR-V: electric folding mirrors, heads up display and passenger outside mirror tilting down when reversing (on the Touring model).

I curse it daily
I bought it new. In a lapse of attention, I didn't insist on Michelin tires and ended up with Hankooks, which are noisier, harder riding and may be less efficient. Otherwise, the car rides and handles fairly well. I like the hybrid for its low speed torque and city mpg, but most of my driving is on hilly 70 mph Interstate, and my overall mpg for 15,000 miles is only 31 mpg. Disappointing, but not my main complaint. What causes me to hate the car is the computer BS. To begin with, I keep the car in a garage, but no matter what state I leave it in, when I return it has locked itself. I can't leave the key fob too close to the car or it kills the key fob battery. Exasperating! Then there's the computer fooling with the steering. At first I thought that having it nudge me if I drifted out of my lane was good, but when I'm trying to avoid a semi drifting into my lane, I don't need it trying to push me into the truck. So I've turned that feature off. The lane keeping assist is worthless, since you still have to keep correcting it, and if it senses that you aren't doing so it will run you into the ditch in spite. The adaptive cruise control is mostly a help, but too often it will panic if the car in front pulls into an off ramp and slows down. It slams on the brakes which is not only annoying but can create a dangerous situation if some one behind you is a little too close. The fact that you have to use the touchscreen for too many functions is both annoying and dangerous. Texting or even using your cellphone is illegal, but you have to take your eyes off the road to adjust the heating, radio, etc. Is just as dangerous. Then there's the headlights. They have 'blinders' not only on the top of the lighted area for low beams, but top, bottom, and both sides on hi and lo beams. I live in a rural area and I need all the light I can get on back roads, but with POS I can't even see how to turn on to a side road. If I'm going to be driving at night, I just use another car. These are the major problems I have with the CR-V, and I have a few more less important, but you get the picture. I used to have great respect for Honda's engineering, but their computer systems department should all fall on their swords.

Great vehicle, very happy with our purchase!
We chose the Touring trim because of all the features it came with. We traded in a same-year non-hybrid, also a Touring CR-V that was almost a year old. We loved that car but wanted to go with a hybrid and the fact that this has parking sensors that our non-hybrid didn't come with. With the uncertainty of where gas prices are going the future we wanted to get the best of both worlds. Having a CR-V and the Hybrid version.

I needed a spare car for the the family and kids to drive to replace a 14 year old SUV that is leaving with one college bound kid. Something to haul stuff on weekends and safe for other kids to drive during week (or take school if COVID cooperates). Compared this and Hyundai Santa Fe but was unimpressed with Hyundai dealer and car felt too big and nice for or needs. And for price with hybrid and all features didn’t seem comparable. Drove a non-hybrid EX-L and while impressed didn’t like engine and CVT sound effects so tried the Hybrid Touring in the color we liked. Felt more solid in part due to extra 200lbs from battery and larger 19” wheels. Negotiated a 10% discount to match EX-L hybrid list and am very happy. I am shocked at how large the CRV is compared to mid size suvs. As much room inside and out as any other mid size suv we own. Performance in suburbia is just right but would like more power at speed on highway but we can deal with the hybrid’s daily capabilities. Oil changes every 3-5k miles is more annoying than the 10k we are used to but I believe this will last for many years without issue. Fully loaded Touring is only missing a 360 camera and panorama roof compared to luxury SUVs.
The CR-V offers the best value among mid-size SUVs
The 2020 CR-V hybrid is the first year of this model and it does quite well out of the gate. The CR-V feels solid and comfortable to drive, has ample room for odd-sized objects like large boxes and bags, and gets reasonable gas mileage of 35-40 mpg. While many reviewers have complained that the actual mileage doesn't match the EPA sticker estimate of 38 mpg on average, I will concede that mileage per tank can be quite variable based on the mix of driving on the highway, expressway, or city for a given tank of gas. Another factor is winter driving that is very hard on hybrid mileage (avg. 30-33) for this car. The Accord Hybrid suffers similar loss of mpg during cold weather getting down to low 40's or high 30's in temps below 40 degrees F. The driver's habits for accelerating forcefully or lightly, and use of coasting to an upcoming stop at a traffic light also make a difference. If you buy a hybrid to get the best possible mileage, you will need to drive with a soft pedal, use coasting extensively when approaching stops when you have enough momentum, and use Econ mode as often as possible. If you do need more aggressive acceleration, then Sport mode works very well to give the CR-V a much better acceleration boost to get to speed quickly. The Accord Hybrid gets 43-46 most of the time as a comparison to this car's 35-38 average. Considering this is an SUV with less optimal aerodynamic design, this mileage loss is acceptable considering the utility the CR-V offers for higher center of gravity and spacious cargo space. I have both an Accord and CR-V hybrid, so I can compare the experiences directly from my own driving. I got this 2020 Touring in January 2021 at a good discount and before the car shortages became widespread due to COVID-19 delays and the chip shortage. I paid around $33K for the Touring, but believe the car shortage will force prices much closer to sticker price at $38K for the foreseeable future. I have taken the CR-V on one long road trip from Ohio to Texas and found it to be extremely comfortable for long drives. After 11 hours of driving my back was only mildly uncomfortable, but I believe this was due to my own back problems and not caused by the seats or positioning of the lumbar support. The gas tank is only 13 gallons, so you'll usually only be paying for 10 or 11 gallons of fuel at a time. As gas is now at $4.50 a gallon, a fill up is about $50-55 compared to $100+ for most vans and pickups on the road. I have no real zonks against the CR-V with the exception that it is not certified for any type of towing or even rear-mounted racks for bikes or other cargo. You can still use the roof cross-bars to add a cargo box, but if you are a biker or camper and want to drive to remote locations with oversized cargo, you should stick with the gas model. Overall, me and the wife are quite happy with the CR-V hybrid and recommend it.
