Horrible car, Horrible deal.
Horrible. Horrible. Horrible. My 2007 had the engine crack issue. Dealer and Honda wont replace it. They want to charge me $4200 dollars. If you are thinking about it, please don't do it. Don't buy any Civic from 2006 to 2009. Update: these cars still suck. That $4200 dollars won't fix it. It'll just make it driveable so you can sell it to the next shmuck:-/

Civic Hybrid Delivers
Purchased it to get CA carpool sticker before they disappear. I have been very pleased so far. With 4 tanks of gas, I seem to get around 45MPG overall. The dash calculated values are a bit lower than when I do the miles divided by gallons purchased calculation. If you keep under 70 mph, you seem to get closer to 50 mpg. If you go closer to 85 mpg, it goes down into the low 40's. Stop and start commute traffic gets you in the highto mid 40's. Nothing I do results in the mileage leaving the low 40's. The radio sounds great with my Ipod. I'm not thrilled by the tranny but it seems to get the job done in terms of mpg. Acceleration seems fine as long as you don't stomp on it. Overall, I'm pleased!!!
2007 Honda Civic EX w/nav
I never though i would be a civic owner. To bland etc.... However I now drive 140 miles a day and I had to think of gas cost and reliability. To sum up this car is great! Very comfortable to drive and responds well. For the size of the car it has pretty good pick up. There is wind noise at higher speeds (75-85). The Nav system is great. The interior seems surprisingly more spacious than our subaru. The dual dash does take a little time to get used to but I find that i now prefer it than the traditional displays. Gas mileage during the break in period has been between 30-36 mpg. And this is all highway driving. Although as you have seen above at higher than EPA speeds for determining MPG.
2007 Hybrid
I wanted a Hybrid so I could receive the CA Carpool sticker. The Toyota seemed like a slightly updated Tercel. Cheap feel, though lots of gadgets. I would not have bought a Hybrid if the Toyota Prius was my only option. The Honda Hybrid actually felt like a "real" car.
