A SOLID AND RELIABLE CAR
Great fuel milage, handles pretty good at high speed cornering(should be a bit sitffer for my driving habits). All in all runs smooth, good power(1.7vtec).Im 37 years old with 2 fat 03 ram 4x4s---I love my 4x4 but it stays parked.I am very happy with the overall on my car. civic ex-03
Awsome Vehicle
First new car ever and after one month, still fun to drive. Excellent worksmanship, quite, comfortable, and just a joy to fill up after 530 miles per tank. Great in the city and 4 hours on the highway. More comfortable than my 98 Honda Accord. It does not get any better than this.
Honda Continues to Build Great Cars
I have just purchased a 2003 Honda Civic LX Coupe. After owning a 2000 Civic VP -- This was a slight upgrade. All - in - all this car feels rock-solid, Very Affordable, considering what you get. Sound system very clear, nice punchy mid-low end. 5-speed is very smooth. Ride is very comfy, bu could use a touch more power, though I'm pleased with the power it has, it is certainly adequate. I love it, and will continue to buy Honda's in the future.
Awesome car
This car is awesome.
I Love The Civic
I originally purchased the vehicle because of it's design. I love the exterior look of the Civic Coupe. But since I've purchased the car, I'm more satisfied with all of the features and performance that this Civic offers for its price. The car has reliable pick- up when I hit the accelerator, it's interior is comfortable, and all of the dials and switches are nicely integrated into the dash. Now, don't get me wrong, the car could use some more horsepower but for the price at which the car is offered, I think it's probably the best car on the road out there for its class.
GREAT small car!
Love this civic...fun to drive in a 5 speed, comfortable, great ride, and reliability to boot!
I'll never own anything but a HONDA
I have owned 2 Civic's and now I own a Accord. Honda's are very reliable and fun to drive. I have NEVER had to use the "warrenty", which is really nice.
It works.
Unless you have some type of phobia about being on the road in a small vehicle alongside all these SUV's, this is the car for you. It has great gas mileage,is affordable, reliable, and fun to drive. The only complaint I have is the ill designed rubber front spoiler flap which has come off in both our Civics.
Happy Honda Driver
I am so in live with my Honda. It is such a smooth drive, and it handles really well. I love the displays and the gas mileage. I love how the driver controls the locks and windows. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking for a reasonably priced, reliable, safe and fun car
love this car
I love hondas, but this one takes the cake
hondaaaaas
great car...fun to drive. I only wish it was a little easier to people to get in and out of the back seat
HONDA CIVIC
EXCELLENT GAS MILEAGE, GOOD HANDLING, IM A HONDA CUSTOMER FOR LIFE. EVEN MY DAD WHO HAS NEVER OWNED ANYTHING OTHER THAN A CHEVY LOVES MY CIVIC!
civic ex coupe
very good for its value.
Transmission!
I purchased my 2003 brand new and most of my mileage was freeway for 4 of the 6 years. Positives: Mileage 38 mpg town and over 45 Hwy. Fun and zippy Negatives: Transmission at 90m bad noise and at 110 embarrassing. It's said to be a Civic problem avg. at 120m. Heater vents above stereo. In the winter with loud music blew 4 different Honda stereos before they put a Pioneer in for me. Replaced catalytic at 60m. Trunk leaked from day 1 under trunk and they never found it. Thank God I'm in So.Cal. I have had a bad time with my Honda, but still loved it. I can say I will not buy another when it finally dies!
great car
This is my second civic...I love it. Its fun and stylish and w/ gas prices lately...you can't beat it. $14 to fill it almost every two weeks! I have never had a problem w/ either civic. If they keep making them this way, I'll keep buying them!
civic SI
car is NICE, very fast, very silent, fun to drive. although is very well built, some of the interior moldings and panels come loos or dont fit perfectly. i am not sure if it is only my car, or an engineering flaw. otherwise, i have no complaints on this car.
great car
I love this car. It is fun to drive. This is my third Honda and by far the best. I would recommend this car to anyone.
Great Car....
This is a great car... Compared to my 99 Pontiac Sunfire GT, this car is worlds apart. Much smoother engine, transmission, quieter and a build quality that makes anything GM built look like a Yugo. She is a quick car once you know that the power is at a higher rpm... This is a car I would recommend to anyone. A pleasure/fun to drive and a great value.
Very Good On Balance
Overall value for $15K. Honda image and Honda actual is not exactly the same. The trunk was poorly alligned to the frame... clearly visable. Not subtle. The driver seat wobbles and/or does not feel rock solid. Gas milage should be better. It's good. Not excellent. City/Highway avg is closer to 31 for mine. Car is solid, reliable and refined. Driven 6000 miles in 2 months and no big problems. Overall pleased.
My Honda Civic EX
My Honda Civic is the best car I ever owned. In 1989, I bought a Honda Accord, and had it til' 1999. It had 237 thousand miles on it, and was in perfect condition. My Civic will last me 12 years.
I'm in Love with it!!
I much enjoy this vehicle. Not only is it a nice size with enough room but it also has a nice pick up and go power to it.
Making The Case for the Canadian Civic
I have taken my 2002 Civic EX on six SFO/PDX trips (750 mi each way). Harsh potholes, sand, scratched the bottom hard, and routine 90-110 mph commute at 5am. Despite warnings about the Canadian-built Civics of 2001 & 2002, I remain impressed with how much abuse my Civic has taken. I drive it like a maniac with NO PROBLEMS whatsoever. Rattles are starting to surface after one year of abuse. Rides quiet like the old Accord. US-built tranny in my 2002 might be a problem in the future but so far so good. 2003 transmission is Japanese- built, car now made in Ohio, a good thing. overall, I suggest skipping Civic- get the Accord.
got it
honda did it again!great car needs very little improvement.antilock and rear disc brakes.GO GET IT
Good Car so far
very good car for the price.
Honda Civic 2003
It drives like a dream. It steers well and never had a problem except for my steering fluid was lecking.
2003 Honda Civic LX 4dr 5spd
Got this car 5 months ago and basically love it. I've had no problems with it thus far, and have adjusted my driving habits to pull in an average of 43 mpg (40 city, 47 hwy). Recommended car for anyone.
Transmission Overhaul Needed at 78k
I haven't had any problems with this car until last month. The automatic transmission started slipping from 3rd to 4th gear and needs a complete overhaul. My car only has 78k miles on it. There is no way it should need a new transmission. The estimate I got from the dealership was around $3000. Stay away from the 2003 Civic! From what I've read, this isn't an isolated incident.
Great commuter car
I must acellerate to cross lane on the interstate within .25 miles and enter the interstate with a short ramp. The car perform very well and does not cause me concern about excelleration.
Honda Civic
I really like how spacious my civic is. The back seats are great because there's no bump in the middle of the floor in the back, and there's tons of leg room even when the driver or passenger's seat is moved back. Also the trunk is awesome, it holds so much stuff, so much space. And if you need even more space, the back seats fold down very nice to make more room. Finally, this car drives like a dream. I've driven other small cars, and none of them are as smooth, or drive as easly as the Civic. This is an awesome car.
excellance
Best all a round car I ever owned
2002 Si Hatchback
Performance, interior finish and build quality are the best yet.Much higher than other Civics. Outstanding seats. Driving it makes you go out of your way find to find challenging roads. When was the last time you went to work early? Compared to other Civics you will find it noisier, runs at 3500-5000 RPM VS 2000 and uses more gas. Do not underestimate these issues if you are buying. At 4500 Km, V-Rated tires have a vibration. Minor, but still there. Final opinion....always a blast to drive, every time I drive it. Buy one!
My Third Honda
I had owned a used 1979 Honda which gave 150,000 miles. Got 1991 Civic Hatchback based on previous performance of 1979 Hatchback. 1991 gave me 124,000 up to when I saw the 2003 SI. It is a very smooth operating 5 spd vehicle. I would rate it as one of the best small car values on the market. The 160 hp engine is quiet and powerful for town or road driving. The standard 'sports' car features on the SI make this the best driving vehicle I have ever owned.
I'm amazed!
As a previous VW Passat owner, I can't get past the solid build quality of the Civic. Great gas mileage, fun to drive, very supportive seats, and attractive styling all make this car a great value. I wouldn't trade this for the Passat even if I could afford the maintenance. The clutch is easy to get used to and a joy to drive. The peppy engine is great for getting around in the city- not to mention, parking!
30000 miles in 9 months
I've had it for just 9 months, over 30K miles, NO problems - FANTASTIC mileage - strongly recommend!
So Far So Good
Just got the EX 5Sp this weekend. I'm happy with it so far. Got it for about $15800. I suggest you contact the "Internet Department" at your dealer for the best "deal". Tempe Honda will get my referrals, everyone was helpful, no pushy salesman, and they were concerned about getting me out of there fast. Plus I got 1.9% for 60Months
the best
As a family of a generation of imported street racing car the newly designed civic has kept up to todays standards, not only in price but also in stlye. I have own a 2001 honda civic which is exactly the same as the 02 and 03 and i have upgraded to street performance (racing modifications) and i am tellling you hold on for the ride. The new civic definatly can be call a civic. Just remember one thing drive smart not fast, you'll always win.
My Little Honda!!
My Little Honda and I have been on several road trips together and we have both survived!! She is a beauty and she is fun to drive. Her small size and get up and go helps me maneuver in and out of traffic very efficiently. Right now, she is at about 120,000 and is doing great!!
none
thsi care is an amazing machine that anyperson can turn into a street racing machine
Honda for the youth
This is one of the best vehicle that Honda has produce. It light with a strong engine. The Honda Civic Si is a superior vehicle compare to it competitor. This car has live up to what Honda known for performance and excellent handling. This car is fun to drive.
fun fun fun fun
Great car, everything is in its right place, sporty but streetable, great handling, decent power, great suede seats (recaro) :) , everything comes standard---------> Awsome car!
IT'S A HONDA!
LEFT HONDA FOR A WHILE DUE TO SOME HIGH PRICING. NOW I'M BACK IN A HONDA CIVIC LX COUPE, AND THAT HONDA FEELING IS BACK! LOVE MY CAR. WILL START THE HONDA EVERY THREE YEARS ALL OVER AGAIN! CORAL SPRINGS HONDA, THANKS YOU!!! GREAT CAR, GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE, AND A GREAT DEAL!
overpriced junk!!
I am so upset with my Civic ex!! Bumper are loose and hanging down now. When i drive, it's also a rattle box that drive me nut..!!. To make it worse,I paid top dollar for this overpriced junk... Honda? Not for me anymore.
Excellent 03 Civic
After buying this car I was very satisfied with the gas milage and power. The power isn't as much as an s2000, but it's good enough.
THE NEW SI
This is a wonderful car. It is great to travel in due to it's compact design. It is easy to clean and keep up with also. The part that i love the most is that not to many people have them yet, so it makes you stand out some.
Love this car
Gets wonderful gas mileage. After a year it still feels like its brand new. In a perfect world everyone would be driving a civic
Honda Civic Hybrid 4-door CVT
Everything about this vehicle is excellent: performance, mileage, comfort, reliability. The technology is especially impressive and we are hoping that Honda will create useful SUV class vehicles with hybrid technoloies that would be applicable to our field work, which is extensive. B. Krause
Solid Vehicle
I've always had Honda type cars and they all have a certain Honda feel to them. Solid if not spectacular and pretty rock solid if one doesn't "dog" the vehicle. Beautiful styling, fuel economy and hopefully, long term reliability. The car sits a bit higher than I was used to on the Integra but am slowly acclimating, doesn't accelerate as quick or handle as well as the Integra but hey, thats the trade off for a more fuel efficient, comfortable car. As a constant commuter who gets bogged in traffic as I do, this is a great car. For the open road, race car enthusiast, there are better choices.
I never thought I would ever own one!
I never ever thougth I would own another japanese car, but after 3 years owning a piece of crap american car.. I went back. What a difference it has made in my life. No more problems! No more hassles! Only the best driving experience of my life!
silver fun
I bought my car a little over a month ago, this car is so incredable to drive. It is a smooth ride it handles road bumps great, it has great acceleration. With the windows down the moon roof open and the Florida breeze in your hair you can't loose.
best mileage out of a totally gas engine
I've got a 2003 honda civic ex coupe totally gas engine 1.7 L 5 speed i've got about $200 worth of upgrades in it, trust me its totally worth it.. I'm getting avg 44 mpg on the highway and 37 in the city, it's got a cold air intake with a ram air inductor new exhaust, came stock with 2 mufflers, now it has one straight pipe with one straight muffler, plus a small performance chip, i go within 3mph of the speed limit and when I'm coming up on a stop or going down hill i kick it into neutral. i can get between 550 and 650 miles per fill up depending on how i'm driving, i always fill up b4 the gas light comes one
