Shouldn't need to "get used" to seats

2009 Honda Accord EX-L 2dr Coupe (2.4L 4cyl 5A)

The seats (EX-L coupe) are simply awful for both me and my passenger. I get back pain, and my passenger gets neck pain from the head restraint. None of this was apparent on the test drive. Takes about 45 mins. or an hour to kick in. I have never had this experience in over 35 years of car ownership! Also don't like rear visibility. Can't see objects in rear quarter, and hard to tell where the rear bumper is in parking. Finally, low end torque with 190 Hp is still sub-par. On paper (and test drive) this is a fine car. Have owned two other Honda's with no problems. Unfortunately I let that sway my purchase. Am considering trading in for something else, with only 1100 miles.

I got this vehicle in 2016 thinking Honda make great products. This car proved me wrong, well its made little cheap, road noise is very bad. The vehicle has already have clicking noise from steering wheel which is worse and honda dont even think its a recall however it is a safety issue(Come on honda!!). Not happy with it!

If you know Honda's, this is the best one so far. Great, very inexpensive to own, operate, drive etc. Great transportation.

Don’t plan on keeping this car forever. I was hoping this would be one of those cars that I could put at least 200k or 300k miles on. The truth is that it burns enough oil that I can’t make it to the mileage on the oil change sticker without running out of oil. I had some minor issues with corrosion on my cable that goes from the battery to the alternator. At 149000 miles the car has served me well. I have to sell it now because I don’t think it’s worth $2500+ to replace the motor.

Come On Honda

I would never recommend a Honda Accord 2009+. My 2009 Accord LX is at best sub par for Honda. I have had 3 other Honda vehicles and they were all excellent except this one. The rear of the car squeeks terribly while going over bumps. The brakes feel like I am standing on a gym floor while 20 kids dribble basketballs - never had breaks that felt like this ever in any other vehicle. The seats are the most uncomfortable seats I have ever had in a vehicle, lumbar pushes into your back to much, the foam is way to stiff and the side bolsters too narrrow. Car vibrates with ac on at a stop.
