AdBlue | Edmunds

A brand name of diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) that is trademarked and overseen by the German Association of the Automotive Industry, a trade group that represents both German car manufacturers and automotive suppliers.

The use of AdBlue lends itself to the names of some German diesel fueled cars. Mercedes-Benz calls its diesel-fueled cars Bluetec, for instance as they use Adblue as a means of reducing exhaust emissions.
