Used 2003 Ford Ranger Consumer Reviews
Alright Value
I think they are alright for the money. It doesnt do anything great but it does do it. It will get you there and back. If your looking for a great all around truck I wouldnt choose it as the one.
Junk,junk,junk.
It has broke down on me so many times it's crazy. The worst vehicle I have ever had in my entire life and I'm 60 years old. Wish that I would never have bought it. I bought it 2 years ago and it only had 74,000 miles on it etc etc nothing but problems. In fact I'm going up to the auto repair shop right now to pick it up again.
2003 Ranger: A GREAT LITTLE TRUCK
I have rented these trucks for years and finally bought one in 2003. It is a great vehicle. I use it as a daily driver and to pull a 15' boat. It gets a good workout hauling lumber, trees and furniture. I am six feet & six inches tall and the extended cab gives me great leg room for long trips. The truck cruises comfortably at 75-80 miles an hour and gets about 20 MPG. I have had no problems with this truck. I do my own maintenance & it is easy to change the oil and filter. I just changed the serpentine fan belt and it was a 5 minute job. Ford has been building this truck for years and it is very reliable and comfortable. I highly recommend it. My wife also enjoys driving it.
Nice Truck, but no 4WD
I purchased this vehicle used last year and have been very happy with it since. Have the flex-fuel 3.0 V6, runs good, but a little short on power. Got the 4 door SuperCab,which is great. Also 6 CD player. Only complaint is no 4WD. Slid around in the snow last winter. Also, runs on ethanol, but I can't get it where I live, so I'm going to upgrade to the 4.0 4WD SuperCab soon. Overall, worth the investment for the money. Great little truck!
New 2003
This is my 2nd Ranger. I traded in a 1994 with 170,000 miles on it and it was still running strong. I like the 2003 overall. It rides a little rough on bumpy pavement as trucks do. I really like the rear doors. The gas mileage is 22mpg with a 3.55 Limited Slip Differential. I've had it for three weeks and 2700 miles and so far so good.
