love and hate
Love the truck but so many recalls I now hate it. The last recall is the worse with the failed batteries. But that is just the result of faulty electronics and/or software issue with the BMS and body modules. I lose up to .5V overnight and need to continue monitoring voltage daily. When it gets to 11.5V I take a long drive to recharge. Otherwise you need to trickle charge for a few hours to restart or get a jump start/battery booster. I carry a NOCO fully charged wherever I go. This is for my second battery after 3 months, the original Motorcraft died one morning after recall updates were done a few weeks prior. Dealers here deny anything is wrong, checked battery SOC, changed a few parameters and says good to go. Works for 2 weeks. Looking for a Santa Cruz (without wet clutch)

I love my 2022 Ford Maverick XL 2.0 Eco-Boost!
I waited over ten months for mine to arrive. I named her "Patience". 20,000 miles later, I still feel like I just got her. She handles great. Has plenty of power. Makes me smile every time I hit the accelerator. Rides great. The Continental tires are hardly worn. The quality of the spray on bed liner is fantastic. Just have to keep my fingernails trimmed so I don't scratch the door panel. If you have a problem with that, you don't deserve a truck priced this low. I love this little truck ! UPDATE: I waited 10 months for my 2022 Cactus Gray Ford Maverick XL to arrive. That was over a year and a half ago. I named her "Patience". 20,000 miles later, I still love it as much as the day it arrived. It's been driven on all types of roads and conditions. Still has that kick from the 250hp Eco-Boost. I smile every time I hit the accelerator. No rattles. Rides great. Handles great. Looks like new. The factory tires are hardly showing wear. There are some fine scratches on the top of the driver's door panel. That's from fingernails touching the cheaper grade plastic. No more since I found out what was causing them. Personal grooming habits fixed that. I love this little truck. Best vehicle purchase I ever made!

2022 Maverick XL - Ecoboost FWD
I received my Maverick XL on April 7, 2022 and presently have 25,100 miles and counting. For a first-year unknown factor truck, this truck has been wonderful with the exception of a few radio glitches. Mechanically, I've had zero issues and have done nothing but oil changes and tire rotations. I've taken truck in for the piddly "recalls" (one of which was adding a sticker to the engine bay, which I did at home; the other was an airbag recall) and aside from that, perfection! This is the truck MOST people need - and it serves its purpose well as a grocery getter, light duty Lowes/Home Depot runner, etc. It shines both in city and highway driving, and so long as you're not "driving it like you stole it" it results in an impressive gas mileage of 27-28mpg city, and 30-33 highway. I pulled an amazing 39mpg keeping it at 55mph on the back roads of Georgia for one trip. Opted for the Ecoboost vs hybrid because of the long wait times to receive this truck. Chose XL because I wasn't interested in the fancy extras. Would I buy again? Absolutely!!
