Sweet!
Bought mine as a dealer demo vehicle. I have had no major prblems with this vehicle. It did have a rough idle, but took it to the dealer and the reprogramed to PCM and fixed it. Runs smooth like a top now! Also I love all the help I can get from websites like mysporttrac dot com. IF you are looking for aftermarket parts or just help fixing a rattle on it, chances are someone on there has already been through what you are going through and will gladly steer you in the right direction. LOVE IT!!!!
Not that bad
No matter how I drive, I always get 15.6 to 16 MPG. Some times brakes makes noise (The dealer cann't help), A strange noise on my side windows (Don't know where its coming from). Anyway other then those probems, its not bad.

Sport Trac
I purchased the vehicle used with about 24,000 miles. I have not had any trouble at all with the vehicle, except due to my slight negligence in letting the front brake pads get too low and it blew the front calipers out. Other than that, no problems. One curiosity that I do have with the vehicle, is that when I have the rer window down, I can hear a squeaking noise coming from the area between the bed of the vehicle and the cab. This can get to be slightly annoying, but not enough to get rid of the vehicle or have it looked at. It has been there since day one. I read a review in Consumer Reports, and it was noted in there as well.

Love the look of the truck and the interior size. Hauls family well. However, had it in the shop for the first time after owning it for 1 month to replace the thermostat. I've now replaced three thermostats, 2 waterpumps, brakes, rotars, and various sensors. I no longer have any trust in this vehicle for traveling long distances.
Sport Trac review
This vehicle is very versatile. From loading up friends for the lake or tools for the job, it handles it. It is sporty, rugged, and yet comfortable with many upgrades available. It has suited my lifestyle perfectly. It drives very well and has a quite ride. Biggest complaint is the gas milage but it IS an suv, what can you expect?
