Alright so far
Just bought this car and had to replace the ball joints, and needs brakes. I like the body style and interior. I am concerned with some of the reviews, I have never had a problem with any Chrysler's I have ever owned, hopefully this one won't disappoint me!
98 Cirrus
I've been pretty satisfied with the 98 Chrysler Cirrus. Has been reliable overall. During my 5th year of ownership I began to experience a loss of power (due to spark plugs, wires, distributer needing attention) I've enjoyed a troublefree vehicle during the 1st four years.
Great car for the money
Bought it new and have had virtually no problems (just brakes etc) in 100,000 miles. Very roomy and comfortable, no complaints.
Why buy Japanese?
This vehicle has been in the shop once in 11 years for a minor repair other than normal service. I have consistently gotton 28 to 30 mpg and it handles as well as most sports cars. I have driven everything with 4 to 18 wheels and cannot understand paying 30 to 45 thousand for bells and whistles when this car can still be purchased in the low 20's.
Chrysler Cirrus 1998
Very rough ride, noted bad suspension, trunk leaked since purchased, unable to find source of leak (stuck w/ a defect), repairs have cost me a small fortune since warranty ran out. Not a reliable vehicle. Would not recommend or purchase in the future.
