2003 Chevy Tahoe LS 4WD

Great vehicle. Definitely get the 5.3L engine. The 4.8L engine is good, but the 5.3L is worth the extra money. I love the steering on this vehicle. It's a large vehicle, but it steers better than my old compact pickup. The Auto 4WD system is a great feature that competitors don't offer. Only get the third row seat if you expect to carry children around because the third row will only be comfortable for children. Since I don't have children, I find myself taking out the third row seats most of the time for cargo room. Great ride quality with quiet engine and cabin.

Great vehicle, Gas mileage is not to great, mainly because of the Flex fuel injection. Otherwiae has all the bells and whistles.

Love My Tahoe!

Tahoe raised 2 grandchildren and chauffeured many. Two more g'children live 13.5 hrs from home; Tahoe is great for traveling. Awesome Front/Rear climate controls and media ports. Jan. 08, woman ran light going 65 mph; hit driver door; crushed left front wheel; and damaged front cap. Entire impact below passenger level; air bags not deployed. Had bump on head and small cut on hand. Two passengers in other vehicle critically injured. Police officer behind me said if I hadn't hesitated she'd have been hit and they'd be cutting what was left of her out of her cruiser. Did have problem w/leaking head gasket @ 80K. Tahoe has 104,000K, is safe, reliable & my V-8 got 19.94 mpg last wk.

It would be embarassing for me to list how many different automobiles I have owned over the last five years! I love this truck. The interior comfort is wonderful, XM radio coupled with the Bose is fantastic! Moveable pedals. . . and the Z71 exterior look is quite simply cool. I have owned four other Chevy trucks since '94 and been very pleased with each and every one. My new Tahoe is off to a great start!

Z71 A step up from everthing else

The Z71 is definitely a vehicle you want in your garage if you plan on driving in any condition. During and after the Blizzard of 2003 I was the only vehicle on the road that was not in a ditch. The biggest problem that I have discovered with this vehicle is its ability to drain a tank of gas with no difficulty, as well as few minor issues with the interior quality of the vehicle. I would request that GM increase the level of the 2nd row comfort, sitting in the back is like ridding on a wooden bench. Over all I would highly recommend this vehicle to anyone who does not want to sit in there house when the weather turns bad.

There are many things to like about the Tahoe. It is a reliable vehicle and a good size. The seats are comfortable and the controls are easy to use. But there are a few changes needed to make me keep this one or buy another one. I have had 2 previous suburbans and a Chev conversion van in the last 15 years.

I am a volunteer firefighter/EMT/Deputy Sheriff and there is not a vehicle built for my needs better than the Tahoe. I've researched them all and this is the best by far.

Moving up from a Blazer to the Tahoe was definitely worth it. Seriously considered the TrailBlazer, but, opted for more room with the Tahoe. Living in deep snow country the 4WD is a needed feature. My only wish is that the mileage was better.. but,it goes with the territory.
