Used 2000 Chevrolet Tahoe Consumer Reviews
Much improved over the last generation
This is a definite improvement over the older generation Tahoe in areas of power, roominess and technology. It drives solidly (even off-road) and doesn't seem as mammoth as the Expedition. However, the transmission seems to be slipping occasionally and I still have yet to reach the EPA gas mileage estimates, averaging 12-14 MPG in 60% city/40% highway driving (EPA estimates indicate 14 City/17 Highway). Still, its not as thirsty as the Expedition and what youd expect from a mid-sized V8 moving 5000+ lbs. around. The weatherstripping and interior trim has dislodged itself in a few select spots. Besides a few weaknesses, Im happy with my Tahoe.
Happy with Tahoe
I am extremely happy with my 2000 Tahoe. "Knock on Wood" I haven't had any problems with mine. Prior to owning a Chevy I drove Ford Explorers and there is no comparism. I had my share of lemons with Ford. My Tahoe currently has 88,000 miles and still drives like it did when it had 40,000. I would buy another Tahoe.

GM needs to improve
Its been 3 1/2 years since my wife and i bought this Tahoe. It is quite an improvment from the 1995 Tahoe LT we owned but we still have problems with this one. After owning a 1995 and 2000 Tahoe's its made me second guess sticking with Chevy.

I love this vehicle
Tahoe
I own a 2000 Tahoe Limited. Looks great and the ride is smooth and easy to drive.
