My HHR

I love the *driveability* of my new HHR. I have never had a car that drives so easy. You would have to drive one to understand what I am saying. I drive it every day to work and fall in love with it all over again. There is plenty of room and you do not feel squashed into a small car. The fuel mileage is what you would expect from a smaller car. I get 24 miles pr gal around town and 33 open highway. I can't say enough about this new car except....Thanks General Motors

I decided on the HHR after 6 weeks of research and trying lots of small and tiny wagons. I loved the look of the HHR as soon as I saw it and knew it was the right car within minutes of my test drive. The editor reviews seem to care a lot about how fast (or slowly) the HHR can take off and its engine power, but hey, I wasn't looking for a hot- rod! I'm perfectly happy with its power, and love the handling. It's not "mushy" - I know I'm driving, but the road isn't abusing me. This is a terrific family wagon that looks so, so very cool! We were concerned about it being a new model - track record, so bought an extended warranty that refunds our money if we never use it! I'm happy!

To whoever paid $800.00 for an alternator you got ripped big time, you can buy these for 89.00 at about any auto parts store, mine now has 93,000 miles and it had a recall on the wiring harness and that all it ever had done to it still runs and drives like new 2.4 engine is the better of the 2 engines mine is a lt model I will drive it till it no longer goes then I will buy a new one they will stop these in 2011 as I was told, varoooom

HHR - Cool little ride

The HHR looks nice and has some good features for a low priced SUV. The remote start, dashboard storage, and cool chrome displays are all solid, especially on a car at $15,000. Only drawback so far has been when I need to push the endgine for a littel extra power, it delivers but when the AC is on, you can tell the power drop a little bit.

Most of my driving is around very heavy traffic and the HHR is perfect for this. I have had it on the freeway and it is not smooth as a large car, it performed very well. I am surprised at the fast aceleration at all speeds. I have had no new car problems. The motor noise is a little loud, but that is a minor thing. I am very satisfied with the car.
