Used 2006 Chevrolet HHR Consumer Reviews
HHR Rules Over PT
Awesome car that I think Chevrolet has outdone themselves on. Much more class than a PT Cruiser plus, it's a Chevy for pete's sake! More tradition, more quality and a better looking car. Great performance and interior space and styling. Have driven both a PT Cruiser and now own an HHR. Enough said! Go get one for yourself!
deflated
Very little acceleration. With the manual trans, 5th gear of very little use except on the level.

Bought Two - Both Great Cars
Boucht one in October 2005 for my wife. Liked it so well that I bought one for myself. Very comfortable on 1,000-mile trip. Plenty of pep, unless you need to drag race.
HHR in the country
I really enjoy driving my HHR. My son, on the other hand, likes the car, but at 6'1", he is almost too tall to comfortably drive it.
Great value & safe
I bought the HHR to use it as a work vehicle because I haul a variety of odd objects on a daily basis. It carries a ton of stuff for such a compact vehicle. I soon found out that the HHR was much more than just a reasonably priced fuel sipping "stuff" hauler. Last week I was rear-ended by a full size Dodge cargo van. I was stopped but the van hit me so hard that I was pushed 20ft by the impact (with my brakes applied). I figured the tailgate would be in the back seat judging from such a hard hit but there was almost no visible damage other than some scuffs on the bumper. The Dodge could only be so lucky. Its bumper had to be pried off of its front wheels before it could even move.
