Used 2021 Chevrolet Bolt EV Consumer Reviews
Living with the Bolt
Nice EV but the recall to replace the battery has been a pain. Until replaced, only charge to 80% impacting the range. No idea when the replacement will occur.

Best Daily Solution
Our Bolt EVU has become our daily driver, milage is about 70 miles a day so it is the perfect choice for every work day. Weekends rarely exceed 200 miles and the Bolt has more than enough "juice" to do that. The mileage is greatly effected by your driving style. Want shorter miles available, drive it like a sports car. We have a solid charging routine at home and have never connected to a public charge station and sort of dread that experience should it occur. We have a petrol fueled pickup truck and suv should weather or hauling dictate their use.

Way Better Than Expect
Bottom Line: Way better and more fun to drive than I ever imagined. I’m in love with my first ever EV. Pros: Acceleration!!! Not Tesla fast but very good nonetheless. The instant torque and one peddle driving are the future. Interior has a modern style without over doing it. It has way more room than it looks. Plenty of room in the back hatch for most day to day hauling without the need to put down the seats. Range is fantastic. I have a 30 mile commute to and from work. I can do several days without recharging (I have a Level 2 Charger installed in my garage). I do not feel the range anxiety like I thought I would. Love the layout of all the technology. The big center screen in beautiful and clear as is the instrument cluster. Someone at Chevy put a lot of thought into this car. Apple Play works flawlessly. The money I’m saving on gas!!! I was spending $300 a month on my weekly commute on gas! Now I’m spending $25 a month on the electricity!!! That’s almost my entire monthly car payment in savings. :) Cons: Seat cushion is somewhat thin and gets slightly uncomfortable on long rides. The upgrade rubber floor mats do not cover the floor very well. I’d suggest you get the regular carpet floor mats and upgrade to a laser cut/custom fit aftermarket floor mat set. Wish the LT model came with rear cup holders. I consider those standard. All very small complaints overall. Get one now!!!

What? Battery Recall?
I had high hopes for this car. Lots of research. Peppy and quick from 0-60. But the battery was recalled?! Basically the main part of the car. I was so frustrated. Fire danger. My first American bought new car in my life. Very disappointed. It has been traded in.
Cute and fun to drive
All electric cross over with heated leatherette seats and heated steering wheel. Front wheel drive gets up my snowy icy hilly driveway better than my F250 4x4. Comfortable ride and green for the environment. Charges on either 120 v or 240 v.
