Recently, bought the Bolt and have not been disappointed. The acceleration is great and it handles much better than I expected. Traded in my BMW because it takes premium gas and with the gas prices going up and more taxes added to them. Figured it was time go electric. Could not have made a better choice.

The Bolt replaced my daily commuter, a Honda Fit that had 237,000 miles. The Bolt is not perfect, but it is good. Absolutely love driving with single peddle L gear selection. Basically, in L will aggressively regeneratively brake all the way to a stop. Things I hate: The wiper controls are inverted from Honda, the trunk is odd shaped and doesn't fit golf clubs. The Fit just was better in trunk space. The radio doesn't remember that it was powered off, so every time I get in I have to mute the radio. The lane sensing is unreliable. No adaptive cruse. The collision avoidance only works up to 50 mph. Even with those annoyances, I still love the car. The range is very good for the price and after the tax credit, will be cheaper to own than buying another Fit. We have 6 kids and use this to shuttle 2-3 of them to activities. After 16,000 miles in 10 months, I would definitely recommend the Bolt as long as you don't need the trunk space. Trips to Costco are not as easy as the Fit.

Steering wheel grinding and linkage groaning

My 2020 Bolt back in the shop AGAIN for steering wheel grinding noises. Apparently this is a bolt problem that has lead to lemon law buy-backs.

The Bolt EV is an affordable and practical EV that is fun to drive. I love my blue Premier Bolt. GM discounted the Bolt by almost $10K at the beginning of 2020 so I bought one. Spacious interior. Lots of safety tech like parking assist, blind spot monitor, bird’s eye view, lane assist, rear cross traffic alert, pedestrian alert and more. Excellent CarPlay integration. Lots of data on driving. Seats are comfortable, don’t listen to the naysayers on the seats. If you want a reliable and practical EV with great build quality, the bolt is a great choice. I highly recommend this car over any other EV because of the price, features and reliability.
