The 305-hp 3.7-liter V6 is more than up to the task of motivating the TL, which weighs 3,800 pounds. The new six-speed manual transmission helps bring the car alive as well.
The TL is a standout performer in this class. Grip is good and the AWD is as good at helping the car go quickly as it is at getting it through inclimate weather.
The penalty for good handling is a ride that can get jiggly at times and downright harsh over potholes.

The TL offers 12.5 cubic feet of storage space which is average, but the TL could stand a flat load floor. As it is, there are ridges and dips that make it difficult to get a stable load floor.
The 2012 Acura TL is a well-built near-luxury sedan with good interior materials and tight tolerances.
