Thanks for the replies. Test drove it last week and loved it - compared to my X5 which has an very harsh ride due to the run flats. They also wear to the point after 8000k miles the noise is terrible. Always kept proper inflation, etc. The seats in the X5 are also terrible, unless you opt for the comfort adjustable seats. Very straight back with poor cushioning for the upper back. ... Read More
Hi stim. Volvo's October buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36-month lease of a 2012 XC90 R-Line with 12,000 miles per year are .00178 and 52%, respectively for consumers who qualify for its top credit tier. The numbers for an otherwise identical lease of a 2011 model are .00178 and 45%. I don't believe that US Bank is offering 39-month leases on the XC90 right now. Car_man ... Read More
There was a class action lawsuit in which Volvo agreed to in 2012. I'm not sure what happens to those wth issues after the 2012 filing deadline. It might be worth contacting the attorneys... http://www.chimicles.com/volvo-xc90-transmission-class-action-litigation
Car Man: I live in Los Angeles county in the South Bay. I am interested in leasing a 2011 XC90 R-Design fully loaded. I also have a 2008 XC90 V8 which is leased that I am trading in. Lease ends 9/15/11. Some particulars about the SUVs: 2011 XC90 R - Sticker is $47,225. Invoice is $44,844 which is apparently $400 higher than KBB I think due to advertising costs applied in ... I wrote messages 862 and 863 and now I am waiting to the tow truck to once again pick up my 05 xc90 and tow it to European Volvo in Modesto, CA. Picked up my Volvo Tuesday Feb 28, 2012 and drove it a total of 100 miles. It started howling and not shifting. I turned it off and now it won't run at all. There was no charges to me ... Read More
We just had a problem with our truck’s transmission. For about two months the truck made some cranking noise in the front; on January 1, 2012, the truck kept jerking and eventually dash board light came on telling us to urgently service transmission. Got truck towed to independent mechanic who informed us that transmission needs to be replaced. Called Volvo manufacturer and they have asked us to take to Volvo dealer ... Read More
Nothing wrong with the 2012 batch. Volvo starts building the next model year around the first of the year and introduces them in early spring. So 2013's go into production early in 2012.
we changed our mind and wanted to buy a new xc90 instead. we were told by dealers that Volvo stops building 2012 and will accept orders for 2013 xc90. but it is still 2011 now. makes me wonder if there is something going on with the 2012 batch. any thoughts? Thanks.
I own a 2006 2.5T xc90 with 70,000 miles, and it has been a great car. The 2.5T and all other volvo 5 cylinder engines have a great reputation for reliability and longevity. But 2006 was the last year for the 2.5T in the xc90. Most of the bugs were 'worked-out' on the xc90 by 2006. The v8 and 3.2 engines have turned out to be good engines--with good transmissions. The ... Read More
so perhaps i missed my chance ignoring the costco deal - but my wife's S60 doesn't come off lease until early may so i thought it was too soon to get her the XC90 in jan. now it seems that between all SIX (6) nearby bay area volvo dealers there are a total of 10 XC90s on the lot, none configured how she wants it. anyone know what's going on with ... Not true. The new XC90 will arrive in 2012. The FIRST version of the new car was voted down, because it was too close to the current car. The 2nd version is greenlighted.
According to a CNN article today it says the 2010 update has been canceled and the XC90 will be discontinued in 2012. It says this decision was made due the fact Volvo did not have a hybrid drive to install in the XC90. According to the article Volvo denied any such plans. I would copy and paste the paragraph here but don't know if that is allowed. Title was "Death of ... Read More
