Thanks for the replies. Test drove it last week and loved it - compared to my X5 which has an very harsh ride due to the run flats. They also wear to the point after 8000k miles the noise is terrible. Always kept proper inflation, etc. The seats in the X5 are also terrible, unless you opt for the comfort adjustable seats. Very straight back with poor cushioning for the upper back. ... Read More
Hi stim. Volvo's October buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36-month lease of a 2012 XC90 R-Line with 12,000 miles per year are .00178 and 52%, respectively for consumers who qualify for its top credit tier. The numbers for an otherwise identical lease of a 2011 model are .00178 and 45%. I don't believe that US Bank is offering 39-month leases on the XC90 right now. Car_man ... Read More
Hi hockeynut57. The lease program that you were quoted for the XC90 looks good. A selling price of under dealer invoice is pretty aggressive, though you should be eligible for a $1,000 owner loyalty cash incentive that you may not yet have taken into account. You may want wait and see if the dealer is any more willing to deal towards the end of the month. Car_man Host Prices Paid: Buying ... Read More
Car Man: I live in Los Angeles county in the South Bay. I am interested in leasing a 2011 XC90 R-Design fully loaded. I also have a 2008 XC90 V8 which is leased that I am trading in. Lease ends 9/15/11. Some particulars about the SUVs: 2011 XC90 R - Sticker is $47,225. Invoice is $44,844 which is apparently $400 higher than KBB I think due to advertising costs applied in ... Was your Volvo a red 2006 T6? I hope so cause My girlfriend just bought one and has tranny prob with only 92k miles. Trying to find the original owner to find out if extended warranty was bought on the vehicle. It was bought in 2004 at Santa Monica and traded in some where in 2010 or 2011.
Hi erica_m. Volvo really isn't providing much in the way of lease support on the 2011 XC90 V8 right now. Volvo Finance's current buy rate lease money factor for it is .00199. That's equivalent to an interest rate of around 4.78%. It's difficult to say whether a Volvo dealer would be interested in your Audi. More often than not, consumers who have leased vehicles just end up walking away from them ... Read More

6-19-2011 Taking a drive in my 2004 XC90 on fathers day and the transmission light comes on. Car has 124,000 miles. Is there a chance that I can get Volvo to cover cost? Any suggestions on how to proceed with the dealer. I have not called them yet.
I just purchased a used 2004 XC90 T6 with 90,256 miles (obviously before seeing all of these messages re failed transmissions). I drove it away from the used car dealership on Tuesday evening (5/24/2011) and drove it approximately 100 miles. On Friday, 5/27/2011, I was left stranded on the side of the road, because the transmission locked up and all of the transmission fluid was all over the road. I do ... Read More
I purchased a 2004 XC90 T6 new from Lyle Pearson Volvo in Boise, Idaho. At just over 60,000 miles the Transmission Service Urgent message came up. I contacted Matt, a service writer at Lyle Pearson to arrange diagnostics and delivered the car on May 16, 2011. I was advised on May 17th by Matt that Volvo and Lyle Pearson would cover 100% of cost of replacement. Matt called early the next ... Read More
Some dealers have a gizmo that will monitor the OBDII ports and record any anomalies; not sure if that would work in this case with the in-dash nav and stereo. You could drag a digital camera along and use the video mode the next time it happens.
We just purchased a brand new 2011 XC90. Every once in a while (maybe 1 out of 5 times you start the car), the electronics will "reboot every 55 - 60 seconds. By that I mean that the NAV screen goes blank for a moment, and then restarts the initiation process; the stereo "blanks out" completely and then comes back on a few seconds later, etc. And it will keep doing ... Jan 11, 2011... Just bought a used Volvo xc90 t6 turbo with 80K for $8,000 from a "mini cooper" dealer. When we got home we found a paper in the glove box that the previous owner left.
