Last July I bought a 2013 S60 T5. I was shocked to find out that the oil change intervals were 1 yr. or 10,000 miles, with synthetic oil, of course. I've been a 3,000 to 4,000 mile oil change type guy, but have never used synthetic oil. Volvo provides the first 5 oil changes, per their schedule, at their expense. So when I took mine in at 5,000 miles for a ... Read More
Santa Monica Volvo. I live in Las Vegas and had called Culver City volvo who gave a good price right off the bat, I went there first and almost bought from them, but just decided to take a look at the Selection at Santa Monica with respect to colors and options. You should probably go to Culver City first, and if you don't buy from them, tell SM what price you ... Read More

Puffinalong -- no disrespect taken. And, I can't believe I am somehow seeming (even to myself) to be defending or at least suggesting the G37x, er Q50S(x) deserves to be compared with the Audi and the BMW. My wife's and my automotive history is overwhelmingly (~93+%) German, overwhelmingly Audi, but also can count 3 BMW's (all awd variants) and 3 VW's (2 Passats and 1 Jetta) among one Infiniti (2011 FX35 ... Sween, I posted my impressions of my S60 about a year ago. (BTW, this is the FWD S60 T5.) It's number 14708 on this thread and was posted 8/14/12. The only thing I can add to that is when accelerating hard from a dead stop there is slight "turbo lag". Acceleration from say 55 to 80 is immediate and effortless. The only nagging problem I have is that sometimes the seat ... Read More

Hi, I am hoping CarMan or someone else in forum can let me know if this is a good deal on lease quote or if I am getting charged too much. For a 2 year lease on 2013 Volvo S60 T5 FWD with premier and climate package, metallic paint, and 12,000 miles, they are quoting me at: 2,379 startup costs including $900 cap cost reduction, $188 registration, $399 doc fees, $695 ... Hi kjboyd. Volvo Finance's June buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 24-month lease of a 2013 S60 T5 with 15,000 miles per year are .00001 and 67%. The numbers for an otherwise identical 36-month lease are .00001 and 54%. The question is what is Volvo Finance's low mileage adder for leases with 10,000 miles per year. My guess is 3%, but it's a relatively new bank so ... Read More
Thanks for the advice. I think we are decided on the S60 at a 24 month or 36 month lease. Attracted to the utility of the xc60 though, but don't want to get into a lease that expensive at this time. It will be a 1st lease for me, but I'll put money aside in 2-3 years to purchase a car we want. Major reservation is the lack of space if ... Read More

I have a 2013 Volvo S60 T5 FWD. A great car - fun to drive, easy on gas, very comfortable front seats BUT, I don't think 2 adults would be comfortable in that back seat for any length of time. As for 3 adults, forget about it!!

Also, it makes a big difference whether you have 17" wheels with the "comfort" suspension, or the 18" wheels with the much firmer suspension, which mine has.
Have your dealer check to make certain that the shipping blocks were removed from the suspension. An amazing number of cars get delivered by Volvo dealers with the blocks still in place.
I've had a FWD 2013 S60 for about 6 mos. Great car! Mine rides very smoothly on good roads, bumpy on rougher roads. Check your tire pressure. When I got mine home all 4 tires were at 42 PSI. 38 PSI is what is recommended. Enjoy your car!
I recently leased a 2013 Volvo S60 T5 FWD with premier plus and climate packages. I am very happy with the look and feel of the interior and the way that it drives. It is smooth and has plenty of power. The only two issues that I have are that there is very little rear passenger leg room (which isn't really an issue for me since I have two carseats in ... bpvolvo8, Yes that looks like a great deal to me. The initial quote I got on an S60 was about $3K off MSRP, so your $5K off MSRP is great. Most options were always bundled in packages since the 2011 new body. The rear camera has never been a free standing option. The FRONT camera was a free standing option, however. With 2013 models, the front camera now reads posted speed limits and reports them to your digital readout. I don't know that it is worth paying extra for, but a rear camera is very useful as you say. Nothing appears to be that much different from the 2012s. However, the XC90 and the S80 should both be new in 2014. I am still hoping that they will reconsider and bring either the XC40 or S40 here. Volvo needs more models...and more dealers.
Any indication from Volvo when the 2013s will arrive?
Markcincinnati, I find your posts very well written and informative. I just bought a Volvo S60. It will be a 2013. I will not take delivery until July. My recent cars have been Avalons and Subarus. At 15,000 miles those cars still felt like new. In you opinion, will the S60 be showing signs of aging at 15,000 miles like the German cars? Thanks.
I'm negotiating with my local Volvo dealer for the purchase of a new S60 and it's a battle, albeit conducted in a professional manner. In the past, when purchasing Toyotas and Subarus, if I was able to seal the deal under Edmunds TMV, I felt I did OK. This time the number is about $400 above Edmunds for a 2012 model. However, this has to be ordered and will be a ... Read More
