Re: MFs and Residual Values on 2013 XF Lease [neptunejcw]
Written by: Car_man on Apr 24, 2013 4:09:13 PM
Hi neptunejcw. Technically you might still be able to lease a 2012 Jaguar model, but...Jaguar is not providing lease support on '12s any longer. As a result, if you want to lease you would be better off going with a 2013 model. I suspect that leasing a '13 would be cheaper at this point. Re: 2012 XF Supercharged Lease [elchrisp]
Written by: nd_irish on Dec 28, 2012 5:03:14 PM
What is the cap cost (selling price for the vehicle), and does it include the acquisition fee or any other fees? If you are a current Jaguar customer, does it include the $2,000 in loyalty cash? Are the money factor and residual the same as what car_man noted for this vehicle (i.e., .00001 and 46%)? Is the $800 per month before or after sales tax?

Re: November 2012 vs. December 2012 Money Factors and Residuals [nd_irish]

You're very welcome nd_irish. Congratulations on your awesome season. There was a couple of close calls, but you deserve your #1 ranking. Thanks for stopping back to let us all know how everything turned out. Jaguar did indeed sweeten its lease deals with additional cash in December. $4,000 under invoice sounds like a very attractive price to me. Let's compare the November and December programs. In November, the money factor, residual ... Read More

Written by: Car_man on Dec 13, 2012 7:35:32 AM
Hey z4maudioman. You're in luck. You definitely saved yourself some money by waiting until December to lease. Jaguar sales were fairly lackluster last month so they cranked up their incentives on leases in December. Chase's December buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36-month lease of a 2012 XF Supercharged with 10,000 miles per year are .00001 and 46% for consumers who qualify for its top credit tier. ... Re: XF Portfolio: November 2012 Money Factor and Residual [neptunejcw]

I think I got a very good deal. I always check Edmunds, TrueCar, and KBB to see what they think a good deal is for the vehicle I am considering, and I was able to do better than their pricing. Including the Jaguar loyalty cash for the XF Portfolio, I was able to get the vehicle for over 14% off MSRP, or about 8% below invoice.

I actually just got my 2012 XF Portfolio today. I did not fill out a credit application prior to negotiations so to the best of my knowledge they did not know my credit score during the negotiations, and they did not ask for it. I also did my initial negotiations over the phone and e-mail with a salesperson I contacted via the dealer's Web site and only visited the dealership after ... Read More

Hi Car_man- I noticed in a response above you showed the residual for a 36-month lease of a 2012 XF Portfolio at 49%, but in your response to me, you indicated it was 48%. Can you let me know which is the correct residual as I am trying to close a deal before the end of the month? Also, do you know if there is any new holiday or year-end cash ... Read More

Hi Car_Man, I saw on another site that the $2900 incentive is good through 10/1/12. Would this indicate that the other numbers (MF and residual) remain the same as last month's? The JaguarUSA site still lists the residual as 46% as of 7/3/2012. You're welcome nd_irish. You definitely should take the cash incentive into account when negotiating the selling price for the vehicle that you want.
