Faulty gas tank

I bought a 2021 Atlas Volkswagen. I was told last week while it was in the shop that my gas tank is faulty that it is falling apart that is caving in. It's very dangerous for me to drive it it can catch on fire and blow up the whole car. I contacted Volkswagens corporate office and talk to them they said that because there is not a recall on this there is nothing that they can do. I informed them that this is something that I was told by three different shop people that it's very serious. That they've had other people complaining with the faulty gas tank. I think it's a shame that Volkswagen might finally do something when somebody blows up in their car which is horrible. I will never buy another vehicle with them. And I will never deal with them again. I have only had it 7 months it's never been in an accident they told me that it had to have been like that before I bought it.

The vehicle is really great, but we were spoiled with ventilated seats in our Audi. Living in the desert without ventilated seats, even though we have good air conditioning, is not ideal.
