Good upgrade, decent lateral move

Had to trade in 2018 Toyota Highlander (dream car) -captains second row, due to too many children/car seat needs. Bought the atlas on the spot because it is the only mid sized suv to accommodate 3 RF car seats on the 2nd row bench. Pros: Drive is sporty. Clean look, easy-ish display console. Etc. 2nd row tilts -with car seats attached! With 3rd row in use, above average trunk space. Cons: sensors are (too) sensitive without ability to reduce. VW rim sizing is different than others, by a matter of mills. Finding/activating/controlling air flow in the back of vehicle is cumbersome. Text messages only come through if phone plugged into CarPlay (where Highlander and domestic use Bluetooth) factory command start is completely useless, unless you are touching vehicle. 2nd row tilt, only works if car seats are in FF position** Because it is VW largest vehicle, when in for service/warranty, I have to specify that I need that exact vehicle as loaner, due to car seats. This has posed an issue on more than one occasion.

Terrible Purchase!

Do not purchase this vehicle. Too many mechanical issues! The interior and comfort is awesome but not worth having it if your going to be constantly taking it to get repaired! VW is not the way to go! Local dealership Hoy VW does not help neither! They’re quick to sell you a car but do not mention the headaches you are going to have after! Poor management!
