Fifth EV. Mostly Average.
This is the 5th EV my partner and I have owned since 2021. It is below our ID.4 and Mach E but a step up from the Bolt. It’s large and heavy; she feels particularly “safe” driving it. We’ve had it for 9,800 miles over 12 months. No breakages or failures but we have requested and received 2 software updates with the second one eliminating the annoyance of your ADAS driving resetting itself. The large 87.7 kWh usable battery is nice and with an average efficiency of 2.7 mi/kWh over the 9,800 miles it provides about 235 miles per charge (I do a fair amount of highway driving where the driver assists features work very well). I have a $259/mo 10K mile 36 month lease. The lease was $0 down and, after the $9,324 of monthly payments, I have the option to purchase at the end of the lease for $19,374. That adds up to only $28,698 as opposed to the $48K MSRP. The lease included the $7,500 Federal Rebate as well a manufacturer’s $12K incentive.
