2022 Volvo V90 Cross Country
7 months into owning our 2022 v90 Cross Country and it’s been perfect. It drives and corners so much better than our 2020 Toyota Highlander Hybrid.
The interior is sleek and simple and the seats are amazing for my back and there is plenty of room for my 6’ husband who is a big guy with broad shoulders.
I purchased the steel dog set up for the cargo area. This contains my wild Basset … Hound from biting her brother and keeps her safe and from launching out the back when the lift gate opens. I also appreciate the low load height as my Aussie can jump in with ease and it makes it easy on my back to get my Basset in and out.
The extra clearance and AWD has made getting to the trail heads a breeze and has worked flawlessly on muddy roads all while doing it in style.
The new Apple car play works fantastic and the google hands free assistant works well. The safety tech works well and the driving assist works better than my Toyota, but still could be improved as it tends to favor the right side which can be a little un nerving when passing. I feel it’s best on long fairly straight stretches. The motor and mild hybrid system accelerated strongly and I have been achieving around 29-to up to 32 on mixed highway city driving and am thrilled.
Sure, it’s more expensive and there are cheaper choices, but I truly enjoy what volvo has to offer and having a vehicle that stands out in a sea of SUVs is nice and the extra luxuries are worth the extra price.
I hope it will be reliable and only time will tell. I feel safe, it is enjoyable to drive and beautiful and practical for my husband and I and our 2 dogs. Highly recommend if you don’t need a huge family hauler.
