2019 Volkswagen e-Golf
This is my third Golf, but first electric. The ride is not as impeccable as my previous Golfs, thanks I assume to the larger rims and low-resistance tires. But the ride is fine and the handling is just as good unless you take it to the limit. Off the line, it feels as quick as a GTI and with no latency. I got the driver assist package and am very glad of that. Other than that, it's a … Golf, which is just about the perfect car for the needs of 80% of people. With all the incentives, discounts and gas savings, the cost is right in line with the dead dinosaur version.
