2021 Tesla Model 3
Boy I could go on for a long time about this car but I'm afraid I would hit a character limit.
Tech is one of the areas where this car shines. The easiest way to describe it as that they made a car that works as well as your smartphone. Not to mention, the smartphone integration is absolutely phenomenal. A beautiful and easy to use interface.
The tech is also the area where they fall. … I think it falls into a category of "tech for the sake of tech" where many times it offers a "cool factor" but no actual practical advantage, and is often much worse than it's analog counterparts. One of those areas is that there are almost no physical buttons. A simple dial for the a/c would a very simple addition that could be used while driving without taking your eyes off the road. There are no buttons to adjust wiper speed or to adjust the headlights. In a normal car with automatic headlights they would integrate a simple rain sensor. Tesla forgoes this in favor of a camera-based system that is objectively inferior and will occasionally wipe on a bone dry windshield. Same goes for the headlights. They will turn on in broad daylight. If they were able to do this well, it would be a non-issue but unfortunately they do not.
The RWD option is amazing, and something you won't find on other EVs. This allows for better traction when accelerating without switching to tires that ruin your efficiency (which is paramount in EVs). The RWD model is not super fast, but it is VERY peppy and accelerates at a speed that would meet "hot hatch" territory. Enough to navigate traffic, not enough to win any races.
The handling is also further helped by the RWD architecture. It is "sporty" but again won't be competing with any truly race-inspired sports cars.
It is EXTREMELY comfortable, at least in front. The low and sporty nature won't be a good match for some but for those agile folks, it gives a sporty ride and feel (but not too firm).
