2017 Mercedes-Benz B-Class Electric Drive
Looked at a Tesla but could not find a comfortable seat position. Went to Mercedes and they had a B-class electric that had just came off lease with 13k miles. We were impressed by its MB quality fit & finish. As others have said the seats seemed hard but two years later we find them quite comfortable. The 20k service is only $130 compared to over $600 every 10k miles of my old MB. The … Garman maps are a bust at $300 to upgrade every year so we use Google maps on our iPad that are always up to date. Driving in Eco mode we can get 90+ miles on a regular charge and 115+ mile in extended range mode. Very quiet except for road/tire noise from the run flat tires (no spare tire). Good head room with a hat on, very good rear seat leg room, and reasonable cargo space for a small SUV. Does not have adaptive cruise control or automatic emergency braking. Parts are expensive. Had a tree limb fall during a storm breaking a rear view mirror, $1500 repair. Had a battery pack heater go out, $2500.
Update 4/22: 35K miles. Still love the car. The standard charge at 80% still gives 80+ miles (EPA is 85 miles). Using high charge and E+ mode is good for 100+miles. I might use the high charge mode once or twice a year.
