2020 Buick Encore GX
I have owned my car for 15 months I purchased it brand new. I love the car it is cute it has all of the features of my fancier previous car but much cheaper with great gas mileage! Now with that being said I got into my car and it sounded as if it was going to die. I backed it out and went to leave and several service lights came on and the vehicle would not go over 15 miles an hour. … Luckily I was only traveling a couple of blocks. I parked in the drive not the garage knowing something was wrong. When I got out of my car it locked itself down and would not allow me to open the doors. being a single woman I could not figure out where the hidden key hole was on the car. After googling it the keyhole is hidden in the door handle that you have to pop off to get to. Who knew?? certainly not a single woman with her broken down car. Now the bad part- they had to take my car on a flatbed to the dealer as it was undrivable. the dealership is now waiting for parts. they said my oil pump has went out which I am understanding usually you blow the engine as well when this happens. they have not told me this yet. I have my vehicle serviced routinely so no I did not run it out of oil. Not sure what was going on with the key fob sensor to make the car lockdown but that is another issue. I am very thankful that it is still under warranty but for a car being a little over a year old I don’t think I should have to worry about the engine blowing. I am the only driver and I do not hot rod. So if you are looking to purchase this vehicle I would probably check and see if there are more reviews. up until this point I have loved my car but this is a pretty serious breakdown.
