Used 2017 Toyota Prius v Consumer Reviews
Great value wagon - scale down version of mini-van
If you are looking for a scale down version of mini-van with great mpg, this is the one for you. It's very comfortable for short and long trips.
Everything but the radio!
I really like the Prius V except for the Infotainment center. It randomly goes blank, stops playing and resets itself. On a recent trip (80 miles) it reset itself 4 times in a little over an hour. If I'm using the built-in GPS, its quite annoying. I haven't taken it in for service because it is random and seems to work well for quite some time. This morning I using the radio and discovered I had no control over it. I couldn't lower the volume, change stations or even turn it off. The only cure would be to pull over and turn the engine off and then hopefully it would reset itself. I have never had so much trouble with a radio. But like I said except for that annoyance I have enjoyed the car.

Blind spot issue is serious
There are such tiny side mirrors that it is impossible to adjust them to see approaching cars at or beyond the rear bumper. Several times I pulled out in front of other cars that did not appear in either my rear or side mirror. It got to the point where I did not feel safe in the car. I returned it and traded it for a RAV 4 after just 3 weeks. I have never driven a car before where you were unable to adjust the mirrors sufficiently to see oncoming cars. This problem combined with the lack of visibility because of the rear seat head rests made it a non-starter for me. It had to go.

Poor quality
After 3 years it's safe to say I will not buy a Toyota again. Paint chips and scratches with as little as a fingernail -(confimed paint defect) random loud clacking noise upon starting ("nothing wrong" according to dealership) trim coming off after first year- cheap flimsy exterior and I'm now questioning the safety and reliability. Will buy a Subaru when they go electric for next car

My New Love
I love this car! It is so comfortable and has almost everything going for it. I love the general comfort, the feel of the car when driving, the super adjustments of the front seat and the technology. The adaptive cruise control was definitely worth the extra money for the top model. I wish there was back vents for the air conditioning. I have had my car for almost three years now and I still love it. I feel like my body fits into it comfortably and gets me to an appropriate height to see out the front well. The front drivers seat adjusts up and down which is great. The visibility out the sides is much better than my old standard Prius. I have not had any problems with it and besides general maintenance I have only needed to replace tires this year.
