Used 1991 Toyota Previa Consumer Reviews
I'll never let go !
I love my Previa. This van has moved my sons back and forth to college and law school more times than I can count and has always been extremely reliable. No one can believe that a 1991 looks so good. We have owned a Toyota since 1971 when no one even heard of Toyota and now we own 3 of them (and there are only 2 of us driving them) because I refuse to get rid of my Previa. Both my sons live in New York City and don't need a car now. I've had so many offers from people to buy it from me and the answer is always NO !!! The only negative is that it NOT at all good when driving in the snow -- so I stay home at the sign of the first flake.
Best Investment I've made
This has been by far the most realiable car I've known and the best investment of any kind I've made in most all my years. Used mostly for in town, getting kids around, carpool, sports, Boy Scouts, and a couple of moves, it has always out performed my expectations. Nice to have something this dependable. I'm looking for a new car primarily just to update myself, but have mixed feelings since the Previa has really been a winner year after year. Thinking it will be difficult to find something new that is this realiable and durable. A VERY satisfied customer.
It's been a workhorse
This old fellow has over 300,000 miles and is just starting to show its age BUT it's still drivable and looks very modern. I had to replace the drive shaft that runs the various belts at about 200,000 and some of the door hardware has come loose. The radio and cassette deck were a little weak. There is no reason to expect less than 250,000 miles on the '91 Previa. This is a great vehicle. AND it's been paid for for well over 10 years!
One Great Hauling Machine.
No major problems, despite many long trips and grocery getting duty for many years, many long trips. Many complain about the lack of power, but hey it is a minivan not a sports car!! When is the last time you had 6 friends in your Toyota Celica, I dont think so. Great for road trips with up to 7 people, able to hang out together. It always comes along on the camping trips, a trusted part of our gear. Have it up to 160,000 miles now, still running great, thought of getting a new vehicle but cannot beat the practicality of it. Interior design has aged well. Start it up and you are gone, you will get there.
Great van.
We purchased our '91 Previa with 124,000 miles on it. It now had 227,000 miles and is still going strong. We have had only one problem with the car; the drive-shaft that runs from the engine to the front of the van started making noise at about 125,000 miles, so we had it replaced. The Previa is an ncredibly reliable car.
