Used 2016 Nissan Maxima Consumer Reviews
2016 Maxima Platinum
I planned on waiting for the 2016 Honda Accord Touring to arrive, but fell in love with the Maxima as soon as I saw it. This is a beautiful car with plenty of technology inside and out. They spent a lot of time redesigning this car and hit the nail on the head on almost everything. The only real complaint I have is leg room. I'm a big guy (6'1", 235 lbs) and like more room than the Maxima offers, but I'm not uncomfortable at all. I got a good price, because I used Truecar to get a good price. I paid $37,500 for the Platinum model.

This car is a beast!
Drove a Maxima S, SV, SL, and SR on 3 successive nights...bought the SR almost instantly. The steering and road feel are sharp and precise, and the highway speed acceleration is exhilarating...reminds me of my Thunderbird SuperCoupe. A real highway cruiser. This car is much more exciting to drive than my friend's BMW 328i...quieter, faster, more comfortable. My friend said it's much more luxurious...and it's less expensive AND more reliable.

CVT , CVT, CVT, NISSAN WRONG DECISSION!
my first big issue of this car is the interior space, its so small, nissan squeezed this car unbelievably, can't understand why really, every position in this car is so small, driver position is definitely the worst position in this car, such a huge console why?, what was the purpose of this? if you are trying to put stuff like that u have to make more room in this car, unacceptable! second issue, this car should paired with regular automatic transmission like infiniti does, but not CVT, its a big mistake, its killing all the power of this beautiful engine, such a disaster with that CVT! the gas mileage actually stay way behind what nissan is saying, with 300hp engine should never be paired with CVT!

Smaller on the inside while bigger on the outside
I've owned 09 & traded for a 12; loving them both except for each had cabin electronics failures before 34K... My test of the 16 was enjoyable yet uncomfortable. Why? The connection hit me when the salesman mention the aircraft cockpit styling changes. THAT WAS IT! Why I was so uncomfortable. the 16's new cabin mods reduced seat width and right leg room reminding me not of a fighter cockpit; but the cramped seating of all my hated 200 flights in the past 18 months. Sorry - the 12 will not got to a 2016 PS I miss the paddle shifters. I actually use them.
