Head gaskets blew on me at about 100K miles. It kind of went down hill from there w/ one minor thing after another. If you have one w/ considerable miles on it and have had no major problems yet, sell now b/c they are coming. You might end up spending more money to fix it than you can get for it.

I love my Cougar. I have had this car since 1995. My Cougar never let me down and it is a beautiful car that is easy to handle and drives really well on the highway. If I could keep this car forever, I would.

great car all around!! handles great and have had little problems with it since i got it in 94.fuel milage is modrate,it really fun to drive every time.. it has a really fast motor and can get up to 70 in 4.9 sec tops!!

Purchased new from dealer in June 1974 and driven ever since. This vehicle is all original never wrecked and has no rust it drives just as good today as it did the day I purchased it, it only has 94,000 original miles. Very reasonable to operate and maintain all original insides and outside paint. I will never sell this vehicle again, I sold it once and after one year I bought it back from the same person that I sold it to. I have never regretted buying this vehicle back it is truley one of akind.
If you want to love a car this is it!
