Used 2016 Mercedes-Benz SLK-Class Consumer Reviews
Peppy, fun sports car
If this is a midlife crisis I'm all for it! I recently purchased this used, original owner took great care of it. The 350 has a lot more pep than the 250, enough to make me pass on the 250. Either way, it has great road feel, lays low and tight to the ground, doesn't feel twitchy at all and yet it awakens when you simply tap the gas. I love driving it around with the top down. Well appointed, nice leather and controls, screen is a little small and I wish it was a touch screen. I have better nav and screen in my Toyota Avalon. Aside from that, a beautiful, elegant piece of machinery.

Fast, furious and fun
I have had my SLK350 for 10 years and it now has 183,000 miles on it and it still runs strong. It's gone coast to coast 3-4 times and the drive from Colorado to Arizona via backroads was one of the most memorable rides I took with that car. it showed how great the car could handle and perform when pushed..... It can put slow/dangerous drivers in the rearview mirror pretty quickly and it's small and agile enough to make long drives fun. It's definitely a drivers car with wonderful handling and a sport mode that really gives it instant power to get around the slower cars driving in the fast lane. Back tires seem to wear pretty quickly but I'm glad to replace them since the car handles so well. Radio has all the inputs you need and the sound system is clear and enjoyable. Really looking forward to test driving the new SL Roadster once it's hits the dealership in my area.

Purchased my car at Plaza Mercedes in St.Louis Mo with 20,000 miles on it it was three years old. Days after having my car I brought it back because I was feeling a random hesitation, feeling like fuel wasn’t getting into the car jerking just things that didn’t seem normal to me. After bringing it in numerous times and being told there was nothing wrong with my car I just learned to live with it. There were times I felt like I was driving a stick shift and didn’t know how to drive it at times quite embarrassing. I’ve had the car for two years now still same problems. One day my check engine light came on went to the closest repair station because I was afraid to drive it they put it on a diagnostic machine and told me I needed plugs $1200 later and two weeks my check engine light was still on , I was told I needed to run gas through it for a while and the light wood soon go off after a month of it still being on and two tanks of gas my oil light came on along with the check engine light. When I brought it back I was told that I was 3 quarts low on oil And I now have multiple codes showing up.Thats when I called Plaza they made an appointment for me , I asked if it was safe for me to drive my car in and they said as long as the light was blinking it probably wasn’t anything major !!! So I brought my car in and was told later that afternoon that I needed a complete new engine to the tune of $10,000,Not sure what they think major is but I’m pretty positive a new engine is pretty major.Of course it was out of warranty even though it only had 30,000 miles on it . The best they can do for me is pay half and I’m stuck with the five grand…Truly I’m not happy and I don’t think they’re doing enough especially since I’ve been bringing the car back since day one. In fact there was a time right before it came out of warranty that I told the service department to make a note that if something goes wrong with this car when it’s out of warranty that I have been bringing it back since day one. Of course they told me that the problems I was having had nothing to do with my engine but when I Google it misfiring most certainly does and that’s what my car has been doing even though they tell me it’s not so basically I placed the blame more on Plaza service department because they’re the ones that let it fall through the cracks it was under warranty all the times I brought it they never ever got to the bottom what my problem was they kept telling me it’s just the way the car runs. Did I mention I had an oil change at 27,000 miles and 3000 miles later I need a new engine needless to say I am totally disgusted with my Mercedes product and the service that I have received…

My SLK 250
Beautiful, well equipped used roadster. The engine is satisfactory in power. Especially in the sport mode. Finish and fit excellent. Easier to get out of than my Solstice I had. Looking forward to many great years ahead with this pearl white, certified use car. I also purchased a extended warranty for 2,250 which gave me two more years for a total of 4 years under warranty!

Simply the most fun I've ever had in a car (while driving). I've had a 280SL and a 450SLC, but this is surely super fine.
