S350 2006 Best Car the Money

I have never driven a car so comfortable, quiet, shifting and excellent. This car has the smoothest ride of any vehicle I've ever owned. The front and back have a large amount of roominess with all this comfort. It has plenty of power, so when you want to go fast, it'll do it easily. Sleek lines, a real head turner on the streets. Just a sweet car, inside and out!

2023 UPDATE: This W220 chassis w/ M275 Bi-Turbo continues to perform well, especially in mountain climbs but also around town, with reasonable gas mileage at lower power ranges using only 1 of the 2 V6 engines. With no major failures, dealer maintenance costs have been minimal. This seems likely to last for several hundreds of thousand miles. Amortizing the purchase price over the 17 years since the car was purchased results in an average monthly payment less than the advertised lease payment for a new VW. Those who want a high performance car for the road and around town use at a moderate price should consider a used S65 or CL65. 2022 UPDATE: New models have only about 10 more HP, and cost close to $275K with 3-piece wheels. No new V-12 models available, as the engine sizes of the new Bi-Turbo line decrease. 2021 UPDATE: Still a great road, mountain and around town driver. Most of my friends are on their 4th, 5th or 6th vehicle since 2006. 2020 UPDATE at request of Edmunds. I still own this, still drives great. Prices of new AMG 65's keep rising. Look for a used one if you want a V12 AMG; most owners take good care of them. 2019 UPDATE at request of Edmunds: i still own this vehicle and can only say I like it more today. I would note that the base price of the new S65 on the mbusa.com web site has risen to $232,550 - 3 piece mag wheels are not included in the base as they were in the original year of US import. HP is up little more than a dozen over the 2006 607HP. The S65 may be the last of the big HP gas AMG's. ORIGINAL UPDATE: In 2005-06, this car would do 220+ mph off the showroom floor in Germany. A few sports cars have faster 0to60 times, but most don't reach the same top end. Those that do have price tags which are multiples of the S65. Best part of the S65 is that it runs well (and efficiently on one 6-cylinder engine) around town without the need for retuning.

After lots of research and back an forth with the buyer. I picked up my dream car. These car go for close to 100 thousand, I stole it for under 19,000. The test drive was out of this world, nothing better than gettin thrown in your seat when you hit the pedal. A smile will hit your face and stay on your face for quite some time. This car is such a delite to drive, you don't have to be that guy/girl who get stuck behind the slow guy doing the speed limit in the fast lane. You can kindly hit the pedal a pass him and signal to get in front of him or her.

I bought this 06' S-65AMG around 5 months ago. I have to admit I drove everything from the quattroporte to the BMW 760 to the Bentley Continental Flying Spurt and this Benz cleans house. I have around 13k miles already and have taken about 5 road trips to Texas back to St. Louis and this car is the smoothest best handling peppy sports seadan out there. As far as speed I managed to hit 140 MPH and was it ever smooth! Consider the S-class over your average Bimmer!
