2024 Mercedes-Benz GLS-Class GLS 450 4MATIC 4dr SUV AWD (3.0L 6cyl Turbo gas/electric mild hybrid 9A)

I purchased a new 2024 Mercedes GLS 450 over two weeks ago from a local dealer. Drove it 2 miles and the engine warning light and the hybrid/starter/generator light both came on. The manual said take to the "work shop" so I took it right back to the dealers service department. The engine warning was faulty air intake manifold which requires parts from Mercedes and they don't have them all. The hybrid issue can't be assessed because the car won't start until the manifold's repaired. No idea when the car will be fixed. If I had it to do over again, I'd steer clear of a Mercedes Benz. Buyer beware...

It's a nice car but it's not perfect.

The gls 450 is slow to pick up speed from a stop. It's quite noisy on uneven surface. It's bouncy on bumpy roads. Lot of tire noise coming into the cabin. The only time I get to enjoy the car is when it is on a smooth road.

This is my first Mercedes Benz. I’ve been a BMW fan for 10 years and still enjoy the sportiness it delivers compared to other brands. I contemplated an X7 and a GMC Denali prior to purchasing a GLS. Extremely satisfied with the purchase. Very comfortable vehicle, technology is what you would expect for the money. Versatile and roomy. Not disappointed. I do miss the sport feeling of my previous Bmw X6M but I was ready for a more comfortable ride. Hope this helps. Certainly not disappointed just a different stage of life.

GLS 450: The only good thing is stability and comfort. But feels like driving a very heavy vehicle. Poor electronics. I have a Toyota Highlander it has 200% better electronics than this 2023 GLS450. Yesterday, suddenly, while I was driving on a highway, got a battery warring flash, after a few minutes’ vehicle was stopped, could not restart for 30 minutes. This incident completely broke my confidence on this vehicle. I have invested $100k on this vehicle. This new car has only 3500 miles on it so far. We have BMW X5, compared to this BMW, it’s completely worthless to invest on this model, probably on this brand: Benz. I have big doubts about the reliability of this vehicle.

GLS AMG 63 has its problems!

AMG let down , 08/01/2022

We splurged on the AMG and sort of (yes) regret it. It changed some of the features we didn’t know it would until we got it and drove it. NO cup holders in the second row. AC unit is confusing and seems to not work properly. I’ll have my ac on full blast and on sync for the rest of the car, and my daughters backseat isn’t getting any air. The auto crash sensors would go off for no reason scaring the hell out of me. The service dept would have it for weeks and then just say they updated the OS. Ugh and I wish I would have gotten capitans chairs but that’s on me lol
