It's Love
I literally walked into the dealer to pick up a new 2004 but someone got mine! So a week later I got a new 2005 right off the truck. Wow, I love this car and the interior and performance updates that seem minor on paper make for a completely different ride. Just a great package. Refined, responsible, fun, comfortable, zippy. I drove the BMW 3 series and the Audi A4 but just fell in love with this one right away. Don't be consumed by Mercedes shy reviewers that focus on too many specs. My advice. Drive it. Although, they have discontinued the Coupe (I was lucky to get the 2005) Try the sedan. Even Dad is impressed... He has a 500 S Class - We're always competing!
Awesome
Fast, fuel efficient, stylish and supremely comfortable. This is my second C class (previous 2001 C240) and is by far the nicest car I could find with 30+ MPG highway.

Lemon
When I first bought the car I was in love!! I loved the way it looked and thought for the money I'm in heaven! But... after 3 months of having the car it stopped in the middle of the road. I was mortified! The car needed a new transmission after 2300 miles. I got the car back and thought all was well.. until.. I got stuck 2 more times. Now a year later I am stuck with a lemon and going to court in a few weeks...
Mecedes 230 Kompressor
The car is "zippy." It feels very nimble on the road and around corners, especially in parking lots with its wheels-turn-in directional steering. I used to have an Infiniti G35 Sedan and it always felt cubersome driving around town. The Mercedes is fun in terms of acceleration because it gives you the boost with sound without immediately taking you over the speed limit. Great for someone who commutes through 40 mph zones 90% of the time.
Excellent Customer Service
Had a 2005 C230 Kompressor with a total of 7 uncheduled visits to the Service department, 4 of them related to a problem with the check engine light and loss of engine power. The vehicle had around 7000 miles when problems started and this week had to trade in with 10000 miles. I traded for another Mercedes Benz 2006 C280. Even when I had lost of problems with the C230k , I loved this car and would not hesitate to have it back. I think I just had a bad one from a bunch.
