We purchased a 2020 aviator and it has been ok. We have had lots of issues, some fixed and some don't exist (service can't duplicate or find anything wrong). We have had to have the rotors turned and now it needs it again (27,000 miles on car). Lots of electronic bugs that come and go. Weird steering behavior on the highway. We have decided to bail out before items start costing more money to fix. It seems Lincoln rushed development of this model. It also seems the production line has some fit and finish issues (at least on the 2020 model).

Almost there, but some things to work out!

I love the Aviator, but Lincoln (Ford) has some things to work out! I currently and previously owned BMW's and the Aviator is not at the same level of quality, luxury, or functionality (electronics). • Lincoln Way App – needs lots of TLC • Navigating the touch screen display is not user friendly and initially getting to and back to the main menu should be a lot easier • Apple CarPlay (Lincoln Way) doesn't play nice together o Leave your iPhone plugged in, turn off your vehicle, turn it back on. Almost certainly guarantee you that your vehicle screen will blackout • Intermittent - Rear Camera, twice in 2.5 months it did work • Intermittent - Rain-Sensing Windshield Wipers, do not work correctly, ongoing problem • Some refinements are low quality and not at the luxury-level o rattling/vibrating from cover around digital instrument cluster cover o an issue with a lower driver seat cover, when exiting the vehicle, distributing weight on the seat, breaks a clip on the seat cover • Auto-stop, come on, why do I have to turn it off every time I love driving the Aviator – fun, good visibility, ample room, and plenty out power. Lincoln (Ford) doesn't 100% back the Aviator, clearly, by the high residual on the lease. First-year release, lots to improve, good luck.

I should have taken the negative reviews seriously

This is the most beautiful lemon I have ever seen. If you are reading this, please learn from my mistake and do not be fooled by the exterior of the car! Took delivery of mine in January 2020. Started having issues while I have not even driven up to 500 miles. First, the front passenger chair and headrest stated falling apart in less than 500 miles. Next, some annoying sounds coming from the rear door. Dealership fixed the sounds coming from the door, however I am unsatisfied with their resolutions to the front passenger seat. After driving like 2000 miles, I started getting this alert about Parking Break Malfunctioning. I have visited the dealership more than 7 times. They kept the cars for days and on another occasion for up to two weeks. As of the date of this review 3/10/2021 the problem has not been resolved. I also have a claim/ticket with Lincoln Corporate Office. No resolutions yet. At about 4500 miles, I also reported alerts about 4-wheel drive malfunction. That was resolved. The console goes on and off while driving especially while connected to Apple play. Today we have 7000 miles, and almost everyone in the service department already knows the car and me because we visit too often. Of recent, I started hearing some sounds from the rare door again. Just too much to complain about a brand new car. Due to the cheap materials used in the interior, the cup holder & arm rest area is depreciating too fast. I am glad I leased this car and never bought it out rightly. My initial plan was to buy the car after the lease but I dropped this idea long ago. After turning this car in (after the lease), I plan to make a youtube video about this car, publicize the VIN Number just to make sure no one else buys this same vehicle. I regret leasing this car, and I would not love to see other buyers going through the same pains. This is my first American Luxury SUV and will definitely be my last. The Japanese and Germans do it much better. I gave one star rating because that is the minimum rating available. I would have loved to select zero star assuming I have that option. Revised on 9/11/2021 The dealership and Lincoln Corporate eventually agreed that they sold me a lemon. They offered that I pick another brand new Aviator or I be reimbursed for all the payments I have made except the sales tax. I have vowed never to try Lincoln or any other American luxury any longer therefore; I opted for the cash re-imbursement option. The tag price of the Lincoln and tax was close to $80K. I eventually got a 2021 Toyota highlander XSE that cost about $50K (plus tax). About $30K saved. Other than size, brand name and horsepower (that I do not even use), I cannot think of anything else I have missed from the Aviator.

To my eye the best looking SUV on the road and have had many complements on from young and old... Agree with many comments as to luxury interior and plenty of power. My one complaint, the AM radio is terrible....Filled with engine noise....Tough to hear Rush Limbaugh!

Bought a 2020 Aviator in early November 2019. We had a $750 rebate from the factory for orders taken by December. Lincoln denied us the rebate claiming we had to have ordered by end of September. Total BS especially considering there was hardly any discount. Then, we have the car one day, noticed a wind noise. Took it back and the dealer said the windshield was not installed correctly and had to order a new one. A few weeks later, got a call to come in for it. Dropped off the car, two days later, they said the windshield was broken in shipping. Had to order another one. Couple weeks later, got a call it came in but it was broken also. 6 weeks with this car, still have wind noise, no windshield yet and they screwed us out of the $750 rebate. No, I can not recommend this vehicle or anything else Lincoln makes. Avoid!
