Beautiful car- but engine is WAY TO SMALL
I purchased the TX in the end of October- this is my 4th Lexus (former owner of ES 350 and GX)- I have loved my Lexus’s. They have both performed well and lasted forever- yes they cost a little more than the competition- but I have always had faith that Lexus builds a great vehicle. Until now. 90 days after purchasing- and falling for the “twin turbo” boosts the 4 cylinder to perform just as well as a V6- I am trying to take my lumps and trade the vehicle in for something with a V6. I am coming to find out the market has figured out that this SUV is underpowered and has begun to heavily discount- so essentially no-one wants my 90 day old TX Luxury for a reasonable loss. The offers have been a 30-40% loss in 88 days and 3,700 miles. Even the Lexus dealerships won’t tough them- as they know they will be either reengineered or discontinued. The detail and interior is great…I would love this vehicle if it had the power necessary and expected from a $75,000 SUV from Lexus. You have been warned- maybe this is a good car for your grandma- but if you seek any type of performance stay away!!

67 mpg for an SUV!!
One star off for the interior finishes. I was expecting more luxurious finishes, switching from a 2016 volvo xc90 (that had a myriad of problems) I was a little disappointed in that aspect but overall happy with the 67mpg I'm currently getting! I use mostly for errands and can get 45-51 miles on pure electric. I expect the mpg average to go up as long as I don't have to drive out of town. Kids love the captain chairs, cup holders, sun shades, heated and ventilated seats. Mom loves not having to go to the gas station every week. Have almost 3000 miles and have filled up only 3 times!!

Dashboard rattle in the first month!
Although this is a practical and spacious vehicle, unfortunately I found the quality control to be very bad. My dashboard started rattling after just one month of owning this brand new car and less than a thousand miles on the odometer. After 6 days at the dealership they said they fixed the issue but it wasn't fixed. Now I've taken it back to the dealership and it's been 2 days and they still haven't figured out how to fix the issue despite installing their Lexus supplied insulation/ dampening kit which hasn't solved the issue. This is very unfortunate and I'm starting to regret switching from Mercedes which treated me very well for 11 years and probably would have treated me well for many more years but I needed a bigger vehicle.

Lexus 2024 TX
So far so good. Gas mileage has been better than expected. City 25, highway 30, combined 28. Very quiet. Biggest disappointment the basic trim does not have parking sensors. They were standard on all Lexus' before 2024 models. 10 grand more for premium which has them. You cannot order them on a basic trim. Overall, a great car.
